“Great flat-close to The Crescent and The Circus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This was a great flat, with all the attractions close by.
It is only a couple of streets away from The Crescent and The Circus, and staying in a c1776 property was a joy in itself!
Everything you could want for a bolt hole in Bath plus more!
The kitchen is small and perfect for making breakfast before a day out sightseeing!
The combined lounge, dining and bedroom is great for a cosy stay and the bathroom is enormous, and very beautiful!
We so enjoyed our stay here, with eateries and pubs nearby, plus a lovely walk to the main centre of town.
We would walk from the flat in the morning to everything the town has to offer, return in the afternoon to change then walk back to the town to enjoy a meal out.
It is the best accommodation one would want in Bath, without having to worry about moving the car, so having a permit was great.
It is also so handy to Bristol to view everything that town has to offer.
Our host was wonderful and the neighbourhood a delight!

“Very comfortable and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed here for a week in August. Very comfortable and clean, with a huge bathroom and galley kitchen. Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the Circus and Royal Crescent, as well as the all the shops and major attractions.

Spacious luxury bathroom-what a Bath!!! .Warm comfortable bed and galley kitchen with all you could ask for.Mrs Slater welcoming and very helpful-even holding our luggage until our train departure so we could get some last minute shopping done. My daughter missed the WiFi but it didnt bother me too much. We will return !!

“We didn't want to leave!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013 for a stay in December 2012

Lovely place. We've chosen it because it was one of the cheapest, so we were really surprised of how nice it was. It has a huge bed, a tv (some dvds even!), tiny but nice kitchen, an a luxurious bathroom.
The host lady is absolutely wonderful, we've even got milk and croissants. And towels and some bubble bath cosmetics in the bathroom! She also recommended nearby restaurants and allowed us to stay until 4 PM with no extra charge.
It was also nice that the place had great heating and many blankets, if someone hates being cold in the winter.
Totally recommended.

“The perfect Place for a cosy, relaxed getaway.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012 for a stay in December 2012

Having spent ages searching on line for a B&B or hotel for a weekend away in Bath, I discovered Basement 48. It was the perfect find.

This cosy, beautifully decorated basement apartment had everything you could need for a weekend away, a very comfortable bed, fully equiped kitchen, beautiful bath with huge bath and it is only a 10 minute stroll from all the sights of Bath.

Booking was really easy, the welcome was warm and we were even able to stay late on the Sunday, leaving our bags in the apartment to collect later.

A fantastic place to stay, i've already recommended it to family and friends.

“Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012 for a stay in November 2012

Just returned from a weekend away in Bath. This apartment was a fantastic find! Great location about 5 min walk from the centre of Bath, 2 doors from a gastropub (but not noisey), and 2 mins walk from a number of other fantastic eateries. The apartment is small but perfectly formed! We arrived to a warm welcome from the owner and a parking permit was a definate bonus. Janet had provided milk, tea/coffee and croissants for our first morning. It was impecably clean and the bathroom is fabulous. Great shower, and huge bath - which was definately needed after a wet shopping day. The kitchen is well stocked and the TV/DVD is a bonus. There are a number of steep steps down to the apartment so if you are unsteady on your feet this may not be the best choice but there is a security light and rails. I would whole heartedly recommend this small and bijou apartment as a base for exploring Bath!!! Excellent value for money. We will definately be going back!

“Excellent in all possible ways!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012 for a stay in November 2012

This apartment was great. I was looking for somewhere central in Bath to be a base for some exploring and relaxing. There's an awful lot of over-priced B&Bs in Bath, and hotels with bad reviews for service quality that "need updating". Not Basement 48!

We started looking at apartments so we could decide when WE wanted to have breakfast(!) and stumbled upon this place. It's a 2 minute walk to the Assembly Rooms, 3 minutes to The Circus and a 10-15 downhill stroll walk to the Abbey and Baths.

The apartment has a studio room with a big double bed, table and chairs and a sofa, and is equipped with a TV and DVD player. There's a fully equipped kitchen, small dressing room and a massive new bathroom with a separate multi-nozzle power shower. There's even a washing machine and dryer hidden away. The whole ensemble is much more spacious than any cramped hotel room...

Check-in and out was very flexible, and a parking permit was provided (as were towels!). And, unlike many other places, all these items didn't carry surcharges like a cheap airline. We even found a pint of milk in the fridge, tea coffee and croissants...

The host is wonderful and couldn't do more to help - and lives upstairs in case of any issues!

Very highly recommended for a peaceful, relaxing stay.
