“A great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

The perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the sights of Bath. This B&B had such a warm feel to it, everything was clean and tastefully considered. We really felt at home and enjoyed returning there each evening. Added to that, the breakfast selection made it tough to choose from all the delicious things on offer and the service was friendly and faultless. We highly recommend it.

Very nicely decorated clean rooms, friendly owners, tasty breakfast and not too far to walk into town. Definitely a comfortable, relaxing place to stay if visiting Bath, especially after the craziness of the christmas markets!

The Abbey Rectory is run beautifully, with facilities of the highest standard - decor, cleanliness, and breakfasts to die for. We had a wonderful two-day stay here and would love to return. Thank you Gary and Ruth for your great hospitality.

We booked this B&B after reading glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed, it really is as good as everyone says. Bath is such a beautiful city and if you don't mind walking then the B&B is a walkable distance to the city centre. The bedroom was a joy - comfortable bed, amazing shower, everything you could want. Breakfasts were fab with more choices than your average B&B. We both chose something different each day and everything we had was beautifully cooked and presented and tasted great. Lovely city, lovely house, lovely room, lovely food - just go there!

We stayed for 2 nights for the weekend to visit Bath and Bristol and without a doubt the weekend was made by the stay we had at Abbey Rectory. The owners were incredibly friendly, they made absolutely wonderful breakfasts and the bedroom was immaculate. We were treated to homemade lemon biscuits in our room each night, heated floors, amazing double power shower and the most comfortable bed ever! Breakfast was like a feast each morning with endless homemade pastries and cakes, little pots of granola and yogurt and fruit salad to munch on before you get your cooked breakfast of choice. It's about a 20 minute picturesque walk into town which is perfect because as you leave the road Abbey Rectory is on you get a beautiful view of Bath from afar. I can't recommend this enough, you won't find a better place to stay in Bath!

If you are considering a stay in Bath, look no further than the Abbey Rectory B&B!
We booked it having been swayed by excellent reviews but thought they must be too good to be true! However, this B&B really is a cut above - we stayed in the Crescent room which was beautifully furnished, immaculately clean and superb personal touches (such as homemade biscuits!). The breakfast was delicious - especially the eggs Benedict and also the homemade jams! The beautiful 15 minute walk into the City centre was welcomed after filling ourselves up on the breakfast!
I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
