“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

If you want an evening of imaginative cocktails, candle light and excellent service- go to Door 34! I came here with some friends having never been here before and was impressed with the skill of the barman in convincing me to try cocktails he himself had invented, as well as the unpretentious atmosphere. You won't regret it :)

“best cocktails I've had in eons, plus great atmosphere...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Door 34 is an intimate, quirky space full of good nooks where you can talk easily without overhearing everyone around you. The music is fantastic, excellent mix - perfect mood, just the right volume. Most importantly though: these guys can mix a drink. I threw a handful of adjectives and the word 'ginger' at them and received a much more interesting variation on my all-time favourite cocktail. There is clearly much skill and enthusiasm behind the bar here - I'd highly recommend it.

“Great little place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Looked very cosy and inviting from the outside, so decided to pop in and ended up staying quite a while! Great little place, unobtrusive music, and with a very knowledgeable barman who recommended a cocktail which hit the spot so we stayed for more! Nice thing was, being slightly older these days , we didn't feel out of place, nice mix of people younger and older than us......... We were there about 9.30pm on a Friday night after having eaten and it was good to find somewhere that felt good to be and you could hear yourself talk..........definitely going again.....

“Fantastic cocktail bar in the heart of Bath”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We visited Door 34 in Bath on a Wednesday, looking for cocktails before going clubbing. To our delight, we discovered a local in-house DJ playing blues and jazz, taking requests right next to the bar. The music helped give the cosy Bath cocktail bar a smooth, Southern feel. With the dark furnishings and cleverly placed lights, not to mention the gin-jars with candles in on the tables, we half expected to walk out into New Orleans when we left!

The barman, Andy, was an instant hit. Friendly, chatty and insanely knowledgeable about his craft, he spent the night creating drinks based on our preferred flavours, with nothing premade and no such thing as a standard order. Ingredients were fresh - orange peeled right there on the bar, ginger shavings added fresh from the stem - with the variety of different alcoholic and virgin components truly staggering.

With each cocktail completely bespoke and utterly delicious (and cheaper before 8pm!), a warm and cosy atmosphere and beautiful music, I would recommend Door 34 in Bath to everyone.

“Anything you want!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Door 34 is certainly a unique place to go for a cocktail. First impressions, were that it could do with a clean. It had that sticky alcohol feel to the floor and tables. But not dirty. Being Burns night, the owner was in kilt and to compliment the complimentary free cheese and biscuits, a Haggis appeared too.

The drinks were faultless and vey affordable. The atmospheres was good, even early in the evening. When we visited there was a new barman, and he was challenged to create 4 scotch based cocktails, of which I was the lucky recipient of one.

We meant to return after dinner but the weather was appalling so we stayed close to our hotel.

Certainly worth a visit if staying overnight in Bath and you like a cocktail. They’ll make anything you want.
