“Very warm welcome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

My parents and sister stayed here for one night in April and were warmly welcomed by Mike & Zena. They are a wonderful couple with great smile and very accommodating to us. Very laid back feeling of "you-are-welcome-to-do-whatever-you-want-but-we-are-also-here-if-you need-us", and nothing was ever a trouble to them.

Rooms and bathroom were very clean, beds were comfortable and linens fresh. We knew we had to share toilet and bathroom with other guests (total 3 rooms) prior booking so that was expected. A few odd steps around plus the rooms were on 1st floor proved a little challenge for my elderly folks but in general they enjoyed their stay here.

Breakfast was good and freshly prepared! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Don't let the fewer numbers of reviews on this website put you off! Glenade is reviewed excellently on a few other sites. We stayed here for two nights while visiting Bath, and everything about Glenade-- the location, hospitality, food, was perfect. Zena picked us up from the train station on our first day and Mike dropped us off at the car hire office when we were leaving (which was amazing, since there's no way we'd been able to find it ourselves.)

You do have to share a toilet room and bath room with other guests, but since this is a three-room property we really didn't find this to be a problem. The bathroom itself was spotlessly clean and even luxurious. The beds were very comfortable. If you're looking for a laid-back alternative in Bath, away from the clubbing scene, consider staying here.

Was so impressed with this B&B that I felt I just had to write a review, The Owners Mike & Zena were so welcoming that I felt it was home from home (except that I didn't have to do the house work), the room was very comfortable & very clean & the best thing was that it was only a mile from the middle of the city which meant it was near enough to walk there & back (there are buses in case you need to use them) without all the usual noise of the city center at night when you want a good nights rest. wonderful all round, would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We had the Back room which over looked their lovely garden.

We have just spent one night in Glenade and I have to say the place is just wonderful! Mike, the landlord, and his wife run the b&b in their own house and the place is well decorated, clean, and cozy. We got a double room just like what you can expect from a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is also included and just gorgeous. The only drawback is that the place is a little bit far from the town centre (2 km approx), but Mike picked and sent us with his jaguar, which for us is quite satisfying.
