If you want to be treated as a room number instead of a guest then check in to this hotel, you'll be charged ridiculas prices for a mediocure room and no service at all. The staff are lazy and unhelpful and have no passion for customer service, they are all just there to get paid. I have stayed in hotels around the globe and stayed in some pretty shabby ones, this is by far the worst, if you want a nice hotel in Bath, use a smaller privatly owned one, i stayed at a place called Haringtons last week and had the best experiance to date. Bath however is a wonderful place, don't let this reveiw put you off seeing the city.

Slightly dubious after reading previous reports, but I have to say we were impressed. Far cleaner and more modern than a lot of other budget hotels/motels, but what we found made the stay was the staff. They were attentive without imposing and so polite and helpful.
The breakfast was adequate for continental and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Only faults with the room were no showers (although I admit we didn't ask) and a severe shortage of luggage/wardrobe space.
Bath town centre is about 10 minute walk away, as is the Royal Crescent and Circus. An absolutely beautiful cathedral.
There is a restaurant just opposite the hotel called Bombay Nights. It's Nepalese. Fantastic! You must go!!

Stayed overnight in February. It was as expected with clean rooms of a reasonable size and within 10 minutes walk of the city centre. Car parking was plentiful and free, a bonus in Bath. Bar was disappointing, closed until 5pm and then an uninspired seating area. Staff were friendly and the Sainsbury supermarket across the road is convenient to buy a bottle of wine (or two!). Breakfast was not as bad as others have made out and was typical Express by Holiday Inn fayre. All in all, reasonable value for Bath and we would return if the deal was right.

The hotel is a cheap and cheerful, modern, clean budget hotel. As long as you go there with this in mind, then there is nothing that really disappoints and the hotel basically delivers on all points.

A couple of points deducted though....it's not the cheapest budget hotel, but then Bath is not a cheap place to stay. It's also a ten minute walk into town down a couple of poorly lit roads. And lastly don't expect more for breakfast than a croissant or bowl of cereal.

One thing to watch...our friends stayed at the same time as us but did not book online. They were initially charged £20 more than the cost on-line, though after some friendly negotiation with the manager, they managed to sort this out.
