“Decorations and concept a plus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Good service, pleasant ambiance, good scones but we would have liked loose leaf tea; not a tea bag. In a tea room that sets itself up as a tea party we would expect the tea in the Cream Tea would be of a good quality. We almost despaired of finding loose leaf tea in a teapot with a strainer in England.

“The Mad Hatter's Tea Party”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

After spending a lovely day in Bath we went to the Mad Hatter for lunch. Its definately worth stopping by, yummy food, great value for money and a warm and freindly atmosphere. Its a small but I even managed to squeeze my 31 week baby bump into a cosy corner!

“Good food; too little room!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

You might have to make a few passes by The Mad Hatter's Tea Party before you can find a place to sit. The premises are quite small, but it's worth going by several times to find a place to sit. The tea and cakes are excellent (and, by the way it was selling, so was the farm-fresh ice cream).

“Fiona's birthday tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

We spent a lovely afternoon here having a splendid afternoon tea laid on for a friend's birthday.
The table was decorated with balloons and confetti and the staff couldn't have been nicer.
Gorgeous chunky sandwiches, scones and cakes and a special birthday cake too.
Highly recommended!

“Alice would "NOT BE LATE" for breakfast here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Even the "Mad Hatter" would find a 'throne' chair here at--The Mad Hatter's Tea Party--.
He would have the choice of 2 throne chairs set at 4 tables in this lovely little shop. Any pressing matter can wait because all the clocks on the walls will remind you of ANY time to be ANYWHERE.
If you are the White rabbit or related, you will feel right at home here for a wonderful breakfast or lunch or creme tea or whatever you fancy. Our server, Darran, the Mad Hatter in charge this day was totally efficient and friendly with an infectious smile and helpfulness. I ordered the "Little Hatter's Breakfast". This consisted of 1 egg, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 1 tomatoe, and 1 potatoe pattie. Declined the included mushroom and beans since that was "over the top" for me. My friend ordered the expresso coffee and a scone.
Such WONDERFULNESS on 1 plate. Served hot and YUMMY. Perfection on a plate. Darran checked to see if everything was wonderful. Yes it was. If it was a warmer day, the CARD tables and CARD chairs would have only increased this WONDERFULNESS experience to sit outside.
If one is not "too late" for touring, a stop here is necessary.
