From the street this place looks nothing special, the plastic plants don't help, but walk down the steps into this stylish understated restaurant with beautiful vaulted ceilings. The staff are attentive but not overly so, and the food was divine with stunning presentation, my husbands squid looked beautiful served in a brown paper bag on a wooden board and a small pot of aioli in a miniature kilner jar, even the lemon was beautifully wrapped in muslin to avoid the pips getting in the food - great attention to detail. His risotto was perfectly cooked and my veal melted in the mouth, finished off with one of the nicest (slightly boozy) tiramisus I have had - for three courses each and several drinks came to £65.00 which for the quality and service was great value. Another mention is the immaculately clean toilets with fab taps, often the loos can let a place down. All in all I can understand why this place is so highly rated and would recommend in a heartbeat.
