“Great location and 5 star staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Spent 1 night at the hotel last week. The staff were incredible and so helpful that I had to write this review. Very close to the main attractions with clean , comfortable and relaxing accommodation.

The breakfast was very good and the offer of towels for the visit to the thermal spa was a very kind gesture.

Highly recommended.

Spent 2 nights here in order to go to a concert at Bath Pavillions. The hotel is lovely, in a perfect position just 5/10 minutes stroll to the centre. The rooms are very well furnished, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Recommended.

Room Tip: Room 16 on the first floor - facing the road, but no problem with the traffic as the original window...

I stayed at Henrietta House while in Bath attending a wedding and found it an excellent choice. The location is first class, the staff very friendly and helpful and the attention to detail is impressive. The breakfast is outstanding in its choice and quality. The one caveat I would add is that parking is problematic. This is eased however by a system which involves paying £5 plus a £10 refundable deposit for a parking voucher which then allows you to park anywhere in Zone 1 for free. The problem I had was that Zone 1 was not properly explained to me. I assumed, like in most cities - certainly in London - that Zone 1 pertains to the centre of the town. This is not the case in Bath; it is a selective series of streets designated by a 1 in the corner of the parking signs. As this was not explained to me I parked not 50 metres from the front of the hotel confident that as the hotel was in central Bath I was safely parking in Zone 1. The next day I had a ticket which did spoil an otherwise excellent experience. I went back to the hotel and explained the situation and it was only then that the details of Zone 1 were explained to me. I left with a rather unpleasant taste in my mouth and an unwanted bill for an unnecessary parking ticket. Once back at home I was still feeling somewhat aggrieved and so wrote to the hotel and pointed out that had the details of the parking scheme been adequately explained to me I would never have incurred the parking ticket and I went on to say that in future the staff must be scrupulous about explaining what Zone 1 means and where one can safely park. I was very pleased to receive a prompt reply with a cheque enclosed which covered the parking ticket. So in the end Henrietta House did not disappoint in any way and I would wholeheartedly recommend it as an excellent hotel in central Bath.

I booked a 3 day break for my son and his partner at Henritta House based on the excellent reviews. They have just returned and it seems that it was excellent in all respects. About 1 min from Pultney Bridge and all places of interest nearby and easy to walk to. They said the staff were really helpful - particularly Laura - with recommendations for places to eat etc.
Don't know why it isn't ranked higher considering the excellent reviews it receives!

Room Tip: Excellent location

We stayed here for 3 nights. This B&B is very convenient for sightseeing. The staff were so nice and kind. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Security was very good. We could relax. We could breakfast from some menues, and we really liked them very much. It was east to go sightseeing from here. Of course, we can walk from the station to here, but it takes about 5 minutes by car. Hope to stay here again.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Hentietta House, I would echo all the comments on previous reviews, excellent staff and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spotlessly clean, really tastefully furnished and very comfortable, period furniture but with modern touches such as a wet room and a flat screen telly!
Fabulous location, give them your keys and forget about the car for a few days, perfect!
Highly recommended.
