“Ok for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

Stayed there for a weekend with friends. Check in was fine the guy was very helpful.

Room was spacious with all you need for a weekend and tea and coffee making facilities. Rooms were clean , beds were ok and cleaned well every day. without ant frills

No eating facilities there ate breakfast directly across the road, very nice..No parking there either, parked in long term on Charlotte street . If you don`t like to walk then forget it especially if you have cases. You also have to keep popping back to pay for new ticket.
In all fairness website tells you all that when you book so it shouldn`t be a surprise.

I would go back to this hotel, although not for a special occasion.

This hotel has one single redeeming feature: it's very centrally located. Otherwise it's a torture chamber - our room on the 3rd (309) was simply terrible in pretty much every respect!

A group of 7 of us spent the night last weekend, and whilst you don't have high expectations of a travelodge, you still expect the basics to be covered well. That means firstly a comfy bed, secondly a quiet environment, thirdly a clean bathroom and lastly a good nights sleep. I've stated in travelodge hotels where these things are present (and more) in the past...

However, in the Bath one these things are unlikely! The first thing that greets you is a sign that warns you that you are in for a noisy night, as its in a city centre. Well, ok there's not much they can do about that I suppose. However, as you read on they warn you that under the hotel there is a NIGHTCLUB! Any mention of that when you book on their website? You'd think that would be worth mentioning, right? Well, there's no info to tell you this at all...then again I suppose that most people wouldn't book if they admitted to this little nugget...

So, into the room - jeez it's hot up on the third floor - let's open a window. You lift the window up and it immediately slides closed again. OK, we grab the tea and coffee container and jam it into the window, problem solved...it's not like there was really much tea and coffee in it anyway. Don't expect to have more than the most meagre supply!

Right, into the bathroom. Oh dear, it's 1991 in here: all plastic and Formica - which is fine - but it's a complete mess! The bath is the size of a footspa, so what's the point? The shower works ok-ish sort of, which is lucky because you won't want to wash in the dirty, cracked and chipped basin! Want to use the toilet? It's ok so long as you don't want to sit on it! This is because it's so close to the walk - you have to sit on it sideways...which is probably why the toilet seat is broken! Seriously, a hotel room with a broken loo seat?this is basics. Isn't it? Well, there's 3 important bits to any toilet - the seat (broken), the pan (cracked and dirty) and the flush (faulty broken handle). Result - they win gold, silver and bronze in the toilet failympics!

Off to bed, which is so hard (I love a firm bed at home) that I kept getting pins and needles, seriously you might as well sleep on the pavement outside. The pillows were incredibly old and lumpy, clearly very old and badly in need of replacement.

Overnight it's incredibly noisy with the window open - deafening at times - and intolerably hot with it closed. Not that you'll be doing much sleeping on that bed...

Oh, and even better it sounded like most of the weekend guests are clubbers from downstairs so expect lots of 3am screaming, shouting and banging of doors!

Even the TV was rubbish, so watching that instead of sleeping is pretty frustrating too - there's barely any channels and apparently HD TV hasn't reached travelodge yet. Nor has the concept of allowing your guests free internet access; I stay in many hotels due to my work, and you've got to be pretty tight as a company to make guests pay for proper access in this day and age. 30 minutes free in this day and age? Really? I guess they are worried that you might write a review on Tripadvisor...

So, overall if you want a small, hot, noisy room with a dirty, broken bathroom and poor facilities the Bath Travelodge is the hotel you have been looking for!

What a dump, avoid at all costs...sleep in your car instead if you must, because you won't sleep here....

The Hotel is located in central ( the middle of the city so wherever you plan to go it takes max 25 minutes... Many shops and restaurants in the area. Reasonable price and very helpful staff.
The Receptionist Jessica was very nice to me and my husband and she went extra mile to make our stay great. There was another man on the reception on thursday evening/ night that was really friendly :) . Would recommend. Also there is a club in the basement however our room was on the ground floor and we did not hear anything in room. Overall great stay

After a really long and busy day all I wanted was sleep. My bathroom had hair left in the tub but my room was fairly clean. Staff are friendly however, I was awoken at 2/3am by the drunk students outside who didn't disperse till around 4am. No parking facility and I won't be staying again.

The site prewarns that there is a Nightclub below the Hotel. We had 4 rooms on the first floor and one on the second, I heard no noise from the Club but the other rooms did so try and ask to be put on a higher level. No parking onsite which could get a little costly but the location of the Hotel is very close to the Town Center. The Staff were all fantastic, polite, welcoming and very accurate as well as confident in their work/information. The rooms/bathroom were all clean if a little too warm but one can live with that. I would certainly stay there again

The staff were really good. Very helpful, polite and friendly.
The room was on the third floor, so we didn't get much noise from the road below.
The room was the usual travelodge standard. The bed was very comfortable. The only gripes were the toilet was cracked on the top and sitting on it you felt like you were going to slide off and the shower wasn't much good. The power of it wasn't anything to write home about and kept going from warm to cool. The basin was quite scratched and the coating was coming off.
For the price in Bath it still represented good value, just don't expect too much.

We had no sleep at all until nearly 4am. The music went on until past 3am and then there was a lot of noise as people made their way home from the club. The stay was a disaster due to this. How you can let rooms knowing that no sleep will be had due to the bass of the club is beyond me. We did have earplugs but they made no difference. I did contact the reception on the night and have emailed Travelodge with a complaint but have had no response.
