The Bath Post Museum is housed in the basement of what was the main Post Office in Bath. The old Post Office is now a shop, but the Postal Museum remains. There is a lift for access, and the museum depicts the history of the British postal service, with Bath having a key roll in its development.
It covers the history of post from ancient times to modern times and is very informative and interesting. It is not restricted to the British postal service and has information on some other countries postal evolution.
It has a learning, research and education centre and regular events associated with the postal service and industry.
Certainly worth a visit on a rainy day in Bath, or if you have any interest in philately or the postal system. You will definately learn something interesting.
