“Not what it used to be.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

I was born in Bath and lived 10 mins walk from the Botanical Gardens. I'm sorry to say it ain't what it used to be when Stan Hitt was Parks Director. Since the Council changed to Bath & North East Somerset, rather than Bath City Council standards have slipped.

“Walk in the park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

It's a nice park, and the British do love their gardens. Nothing really special, but a nice, quiet haven. Lots of locals take their dogs for a walk there.

“Lovely spot for a stroll”

This is a lovely little part of Victoria park, really quiet and peaceful and worth a visit. Great to walk around to look at the plants and trees and water features, plenty of benches for resting!

“Magical!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

We stumbled across the botanical gardens by chance really, as we visited the Royal Crescent. The approach through the Royal Park is lovely, but once inside the botanical gardens, a whole new experience opens up! Stunning trees and plants that are beautifully maintained give this garden a magical and serene quality that is quite hard to describe.
You must go and experience it for yourself. The perfect place to go for some peace and quiet.
