“Excellent B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

We stayed at Marlborough House, with our six tear old daughter in August, and we were more than impressed! The outside and gardens are lovely and inside house offers a traditional surrounding but with all modern amenities.
Peter was so helpful, as were the staff who served a great cooked to order breakfast. Our room at the front was huge and beautifully decorated and the little touches like the complimentary sherry were really nice. We would definately stay again!

This is by far the most welcoming B&B I have stayed in! The owner was very knowledgable about the area and even drew a small map on how to get around- and everything was just around the corner:) it's very child friendly , the rooms are big and breakfasting area is bright and cheerful with a brilliant cooked to order breakfast including pancakes! Lilly was amazing with my kid and he kept asking about her on his way back!!! Overall a great place to go with kids , and only 30 mins away from Longleat safari park too.

We arrived at Marlborough House to be greeted by the effervescent Peter! Super helpful he offered us good advice on local restaurants, helped us with directions and sorted out taxis. The breakfasts were great served by the very warm and hospitality team that Peter has working with him.

Highly recommend staying at the Marlborough House in Bath - very personal, warm, friendly and ultimately relaxing.

Room Tip: As there were three of us we stayed in the triple room which had three single beds - ideal for a gir...

Pete gives you a very warm and personal welcome. He will give you very good advice on sightseeing and on restaurants. The rooms are carefully designed and very comfortable, but they are all rather noisy. It's close to all attractions, so it's a good place to discover Bath. The breakfast is great.

We enjoyed an overnight stay here, had two rooms, both very comfortable. Friendly atmosphere; all trappings of desire; but I've got to RAVE about the breakfast, it was really excellent! Fresh fruit of all descriptions, laid out beautifully, all you could eat. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at Marlborough House in Bath. Both rooms we stayed in were lovely, with really comfy beds and everything you would need, even complimentary sherry along with a well stocked hospitality tray. Breakfast is a highlight with nothing being too much bother. Peter, the owner along with Lily and Sarah are really welcoming and provide a friendly but professional service, it really is like a home from home. The city centre is within a 10 minute walk as is the Royal Crescent, along with the local knowledge provided by Peter, it all makes for a perfect place to stay.

Just returned from a mini break in Bath. We booked Marlborough House based on previous reviews and were not disappointed.
The staff- Peter, Lily and Sarah were very knowledgable about where to go and where to eat in the city centre. We stayed in the Edwardian room on the ground floor which was converted from a king to a twin ( but had 3 beds in all- so could have taken another person!). The B & B is tastefully decorated, the breakfasts were fantastic and as a non veggie- i was more than happy with the freshly prepared and cooked breakfasts and the attention the staff paid to the little details like fresh flowers in the rooms and in the dining room, hospitality trays and organic tolietries.
A fantastic guest house, ideally located- near to Royal Crescent and a short walk to everything.
I really recommend this B &B and would stay there again if I ever find myself in Bath again- which is a great city full of history and some great shops.
Thanks all- a great stay.
Peter is an excellent host and was not intrusive but left us to our own devices.
