“Good for a business trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

I stayed for 2 nights at Cranleigh, and it gave me exactly what I needed...a quiet location, comfortable room, and close to where I needed to be during the day. The welcome was very friendly, and continued to be so. Breakfast was good on both days. I would stay again.

Took my good lady to Bath for the weekend for our Wedding Anniversary, the staff at the hotel were excellent, the room was very clean and tidy. The Hotel staff recommended us to a local place to eat (The kilted Chef) this to was very good. Our Breakfast in the hotel was all one would want in a breakfast, plenty of choice and nice and hot. Nice to see no limit on toast and tea and coffee. All the staff were very friendly and professional. A very nice touch was the introduction to the Big Ben Discounts that help save on different things across the city.
We hope to return here soon.

A short stay in this Guest House, one night but with journeys to Bristol over teh next two years it should not be teh last.
An excellent bath, big enough for two! The bed was sumptious did not want to leave..Breakfast was varied.
Lovely touches re the extras in the rooms and information provided, Big ben discounts would have saved money if only we had gone to Cranleigh first.
The owner cares and so do the staff and it shows.
Do not forget Lacock abbey anf village NT nearby

We enjoyed our long weekend stay at Cranleigh; the staff are very friendly and the room was nicely furnished. However we were disappointed with the use of the microwave for a number of the breakfast options; and our 'double' bed was two singles pushed together.

The B&B is approximately a 30 minute walk from the city centre, although it is possible to walk via Victoria Park which is pleasant, and there is also a regular bus service.

We stayed on the second floor and, possibly due to distance, the Wireless signal was not consistently available.

We are pleased you enjoyed your weekend in Bath. As we state in all our advertising Cranleigh is located just over 1.5 miles from the heart of the city of Bath. We recommend the walk through Royal Victoria Park which leads up to the famous Royal Crescent.

At Cranleigh we offer a good choice of Breakfast including English breakfast, pancakes and smoked salmon dishes. We are proud to uses high quality ingredients which the majority are prepared and cooked conventionally.

Wireless internet is available FREE of charge to all our guests and equipment is located so a good to excellent signal is available in all room. From time to time our guest may have difficulty accessing the internet and we are able to provide support to quickly resolve any issues.
As with a growing numbers of hotels including some of the high quality chain operators we use zip and link bed design in some or our rooms. This ensure our guest have the flexibility to choose whether they would like a king size bed or two single bed. The bed is designed to be in the king size configuration for the majority of the time and with the additional mattress toppers the difference between a zip and link bed and a regular king size mattress should not be that noticeable.

Our friendly owners and staff are always happy to talk to our guests and if you have any concerns regarding the facilities or service you are receiving please let us know immediately so can put it right.

Thank you for your kind and honest feedback.

We were really delighted to have found such a lovely guesthouse! My husband was away for the weekend and so my daughter and I decided to travel to Bath and have a couple of days exploring the city and shopping. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean and had all the little extras you could possibly need in the ensuite. There was excellent choice for breakfast and it was served in another beautiful and relaxing room. Parking was not a problem as there was plenty of space in the road outside. It was a short drive into the centre of Bath and we found a lovely Italian restaurant for our evening meal and enjoyed the Little Theatre for a cinema trip. I would certainly recommend this to my friends and we hope to return with my husband for another weekend. The owners were also very helpful and informative. What a lovely break!

Room Tip: We had a superior room, no. 6, which was delightful, quiet and very comfortable.

What a really nice place we were over the moon with the amount of effort which was made and felt very pleased with are choice of guest house. There was a lot of help from the staff and owners We had a lovely walk into the city center, there was a great park and we see so much. While in the city we took the open top bus 50 minuets it took.which was a great price 13 pound this gave us a open ticket for two days with two different tours of bath, amazing value....we got a taxi back from the city center costing 7 pound, and the park and ride was only 3 pound including the car/bus fair.... There was a good local Indian restaurant not far and was recommended very good and good value too, ...we returned to a lovely warm room ,great bed and nice TV and DVD in the room with a DVD library in the entrance, what more could you want breakfast from 8-9.30 am what can i say but,10/10 love to go back again.

Lovely house and very thoughtfully decorated. Good position easy to get into city centre using buses and taxi. Car park is small so limited spaces and on road parking although no restrictions is limited. Lots of choice for breakfast, but was disappointed with our choices like my food really hot and this was only warm. Colin was very welcoming and extremely helpful. All in all a lovely place to stay and would recommend.

Room Tip: We had room 10
