“Delightful Dexy's gig”

Great little venue with theatre style seats upstairs and a more cabaret style downstairs. Friendly staff, very intimate feel, beautiful interior architecture too.

“REASONABLE COMEDY BUT BETTER SUITED TO HENS/STAGS”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

This was my second visit. Previously I had visited on a hen party and the food wasn't brilliant, so as a couple we decided to just book for the show. The comedians were good. The toilets (2 women's for 400 people) had a constant queue, one with no toilet paper and a blocked loo, and a hand drier which didn't work. Terrific.

Good fun for the dozens of hen and stag parties I'm sure, but the whole place seemed to be heaving with randy, drunken young men and women in very short skirts dressed as Snow White...

The show started late, then afterwards the chairs and tables are removed for the night club. Probably not the place if you're over 30, and certainly not for me.

KomediaBath, Manager at Komedia Bath, responded to this review, April 24, 2013
Dear Susan,

Glad to hear you returned to Komedia Bath and thanks for your feedback.

On the basis of this we will increase the signage on the Ladies in the auditorium, as the venue’s main toilets are at the front of the building, rather than the small number inside the auditorium itself.

As you note, we do welcome parties to celebrate at our Krater Comedy Club on Saturday’s at Komedia. We also host many couples and many reviews on Trip Advisor verify that they greatly enjoy the experience. Most of our customers also choose to dine from our Soil Association award-winning menus - with this mark they can be certain that Komedia offers the very best of the South West’s seasonal fayre, all of which reaches the highest food standards. Recent customer feedback gave us 90% satisfaction on our food offer.

Unlike some other comedy venues, we do not restrict what our customers are allowed to wear, but we certainly manage the events so all customers and our comedians get the opportunity to enjoy the very best experience. This can be verified by Komedia winning more Chortle Awards for Best Venue’s in the UK than any other operator over the last decade, even eclipsing The Comedy Store.

The recent survey of our customers found an exceedingly wide range of ages attending Krater Comedy Club from students to OAP’s, such is the universal appeal of the very best in live stand up comedy. Rather than being a place for just the under 30’s the average age of our customers is between 35-45. This supports the fact that many people choose to celebrate their significant birthdays with us, from 21st to 70th’s.

Following Krater Comedy Club is Motorcity, a Motown disco that has proved exceedingly popular with our Krater Comedy Club audience and has now become the most popular late night dancing event every Saturday in Bath.

We would invite you to get in touch with us directly to arrange to come back Komedia, if not to the Krater Comedy Club then perhaps to the wide range of touring comedy and music events we host, or one of cinema screening that we run daily in partnership with The Little Cinema Theatre and Picturehouse.

Kind Regards,

Komedia Bath

“Excellent venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Visited the Komedia for an acoustic gig last Friday. We were seated in the balcony, and there is standing room below. Cannot fault this lovely building. It's incredibly beautiful on the inside, despite its modern exterior. Really enjoyed the show and the seats were comfortable too. Only downside, very expensive drinks, £4 a pint and £2.50 for a bottle of coke! Overall a good venue and would visit again.
