Excellent hotel 5mins walk into the centre, directions (walking) from the main rail station: facing the station go through the arches on the left, over the bridge then turn left you will see the hotel on your left, you can either walk down by the river and through an iron gate or you can walk past the hotel and follow road round to the left. There are some lovely walks along the canal heading towards Bathampton.
We found the staff helpful and friendly (with one exception, but maybe she was just having a bad day!!). We had a room over looking the water which was lovely, the road is noisy this did'nt effect us but I can imagine it would effect light sleepers.
The food was awful, would not recommend you eat there, but apart from that would highly recommend this travelodge.

Stayed with spouse for two nights whilst settling son into university.Very relaxing hotel,helpful staff.Room very nice and clean.Food basic but reasonably priced (although breakfast bit pricey compared to other meals) and although £5 for 24hrs in the car park cheap compared to other car parks it should be free for residents.Would definately stay again when visiting my son!

We couldn't get a cheap deal, as we booked late and couldn't be flexible about the date, so it felt expensive at £85 without breakfast, but our room was clean and functional, and even had a nice view over water. It was very handy for the city centre, which was an enjoyable riverside walk away.

Pros:
- Easy walk of City Centre
- Pleasant spot, between the River Avon & the Kennet & Avon Canal
- Restaurant was convenient, and good value for basic dishes
- Restaurant & bar staff were friendly & helpful

Cons:
- Hotel car park costs £5/night extra - and you may not find a space
- Checkout staff member ignored me (standing in front of her) & carried on typing until she'd finished

Just returned from 2 nights stay and would like to say that the reception staff were more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Location great, had two days of lovely weather so the walk into town along the river was most enjoyable. Had a lovely meal at the Strada Restaurant next to the Theatre Royal. Bath is buzzing cant wait to go back!
