Rooms are clean enough, and the decor is very good, but the heating is sub-standard being either too hot or too cold. The reception staff are surly and ungracious and never smile or even attempt eye contact. The Hotel seems to be permanently seeking to extract that extra pound from its customers, even to the extent of charging for an "executive room" which is exactly the same as a standard room. The bar is very expensive and one should avoid the restaurant at all costs for evening meals. The food is indifferent, the service is non-existent and it is very expensive.

If you can get a good deal for an overnight stay, then go for it, but do not eat or drink in the hotel.
