“Do not put your elbows on the table!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Clean comfortable room, excellent staff at reception and ideal for exploring the city.Breakfast was fine but the scrambled eggs would benefit from having more eggs in them. The title of this review refers to the state of the tables in the dining area. Should your manners lapse and you put your elbows on the table, they will remain there, stuck! Steam cleaning is the order of the day here.
Would definitely stay here again but would probably not have breakfast

Room Tip: Rooms facing the water are lovely.

The standard room was fit for purpose, bit noisy from the ring road just outside .Good location for shopping in bath as right by the train station(Spa). The staff seemed to be eternally on duty, breakfast was OK but the scrambled eggs needed some TLC, but for the price overall not bad .

Room Tip: Try and get away from roadside rooms

The hotel is convenient for the train & bus station and to access the southern part of Bath centre. The Assembly Rooms/Royal Crescent are a brisk 15 minutes' walk mostly up-hill. Typical travelodge with clean and functional rooms, bar & cafe. Breakfast was OK. In short a good 3-night business stay.

Having stayed in a few different travelodges, wasn't the best at the price we paid for it. Nice room, but toilet roll holder in the wrong place. Duvet cover wasn't exactly put on correctly. And then asking on reception if they had green tea to be told no and that we're not the first customers to ask this, plus with a restaurant attached to the hotel even that doesn't serve green tea either. For all these travelodges having had make overs it still doesn't give you value for money and still no free wifi either. 30mins! Woohoo.

Our recent stay at the Bath Waterside Travelodge was excellent value for money. The location is marvelous whether you arrive by car or train, it this then very easy to explore the city. Rooms are smart clean and comfortable, car parking good value for 24hrs. nice setting for breakfast. we will use again.

We were to be one night in Bath. We chose an hotel close to the centre as we had to be at two events there. Having left home at 0430 hrs, we arrived at the hotel at 1300 hrs. We were given the choice of checking in early but that would have cost an additional 10 pounds. We declined. We returned two hours later. A first quick look around the room and it seemed to be very clean, however, when I went into the bathroom I was unimpressed to see hair in the sink - and not just head hair. There were stray hairs on and in our bed as well.

It had been a long day and we decided to eat in the hotel as we were so tired. It was about 2030 hrs. We ordered drinks at the bar - having had to find someone to serve us. I asked if the drinks could go on our food bill. That was impossible, apparently, because when they did that in the past, it resulted in unpaid bills. I paid for one glass of wine and one glass of mineral water. We then immediately ordered our food and paid. There were possibly 90 seconds between the transactions. We went to sit down, but had to keep changing tables because they were filthy. Sticky and unclean. Our food arrived. My husband had ordered "succulent" chicken. With fresh coleslaw. The chicken was dry and tasteless. The fresh coleslaw came out of a plastic box, I'm sure. I would have expected fresh to mean freshly made, not just the fact that it was not going off. I had ordered tempura fish. It was obviously cooked from frozen. The peas were like little bullets. We had initially planned to have breakfast there this morning. We didn't.

If I were to return to Bath, I would quite probably, given its location, stay there again. I would not, however, have any more food there. I wonder if it is a coincidence that we were not asked about our meal, our stay, our room........ by the staff in the hotel whilst we were still there.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand the importance of our customers receiving a room which is up to great standards so we are truly sorry to learn on this occasion these standards were not met. We have noted your comments on the food you received in the Bar Café; our food quality is really important to us. We will be sure to take a look at how this food is service so we can improve before your next visit.
