“Ideal spot for exploring.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

We visited Bath during the Christmas market period, very busy and hotel full.
Arrived quiet early in the day, called at the hotel who gave us a parking pass for our stay, this is invaluble as parking in Bath is a nightmare and expensive, would recommend train travel if visiting as you really dont need your car once here.
Our room was at the top of the building, no issue to us but maybe for some, case was carried to the room for us. Room was very clean warm and well decorated. Bathroom had all we required and hot water was plentyful for showers.
We both thougherly enjoyed our breakfasts with plenty of choices in food and bevarages, as I only drink coffee it was nice to have a choice of blends,a rare treat to be offered a choice other than black or white.
As we wanted to stay to late evening we asked if we could keep the parking pass, the owner was happy for us to do this so another plus.
Our first visit to both Bath and the Kennard sure it will notbe our last.

Good hotel in an excellent position, an easy walk from the centre of Bath.
Nice room well decorated. Sad to find that ensuite did not include a bath and when I asked was told that none of the rooms had a bath. My mistake as this was clearly stated. The shower room was small and the basin in our room had multiple cracks which had been painted over. I did comment on this at the time and was told it was an antique which was only fitted a year ago. They felt that the imperfections were part of the antique charm. I didn't think so.
Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful range of chutneys and jams to go with an equally wonderful cooked breakfast. There was also delicious fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Altogether a good experience
And don't miss the free walking tour....

We chose to visit Bath to celebrate our wedding anniversary and staying at the Kennard with Giovanni and Mary, made it just perfect - they made us feel so welcome that it was like home away from home but with 5* service! The location couldn't be more convenient for all that Bath has to offer and we were able to park, with the permit provided, just outside the front door.
Our 'superior' room was super comfortable with careful attention to every little detail and breakfast was a feast. Look no further - try it for yourself!

Great size room, spotless, very clean, great friendly service, Molton Brown products in the shower. tea and coffe offered in the room was organic tea and coffe. Everything is good quality.
We had a SPECIAL REQUEST to have the feather pillows and duvet removed before we arrive, and it was done without no issues. Locally produced ingedients for breakfast whith fantastic flavours, FRESHLY squeezed orange juice and the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten!!!
Would RECOMMEND to a friend and will cole back again.

My first trip to Bath will most certainly be a memorable one, due in no small part to our wonderful stay at the Kennard Hotel. The hosts were wonderful and willing to help in every way. i.e. they held our bags for us when we arrived and the day we checked out, allowing us to move around the city effortlessly. The rooms are decorated beautifully with wonderful little touches, i.e. biscuits by the tea making facilities, molten brown toiletries etc.
Breakfast in the stunning breakfast room was fantastic too. A wonderful range of locally sourced produce, cooked to perfection. I've never seen such a range of teas!!
All in all, we had a fantastic stay at the Kennard Hotel and I would be delighted to stay there again if I find myself in this great city!

I came to Bath very last minute for a business meeting, and booked into the Kennard after reading some good reviews and as it had a very good location.

I can honestly say the whole experience from start to finish over 2 days was brilliant. On arrival I was given a parking permit so I didn't have too pay to park my car, then I was upgraded to a better room free of charge.

The room was immaculate and very nicely furnished, as was the shower room. The staff provided amazing service and are complete professionals. You can tell everything around the hotel is maintained and alot of thought is gone into making every persons stay there a memorable one, even if it is for a couple of days.

The breakfast I had on both of the mornings was brilliant, fantastic cooking and you could tell the produce was fresh.

I can honestly say I would recommend the hotel to all of my friends and will be definitely staying again whether on business or for a weekend break.

Fantastic little find.
