This B&B was a last minute find and proved to be a good choice as it was very comfortable, a large bed in a large bedroom, and spotlessly clean. Beside a busy roundabout but quiet and within easy reach of the city centre, A longish walk or more quicky by bus from a nearby bus stop. Breakfast was simple and delicious, but could not be described as lavish. There was cereal, fresh and tinned fruit and cold ham and cheese, but no accompanient offered with your egg. Thought this most unusual as have so often found breakfasts to have more than enough on offer.
The Firs was lower down the ratings being 80 something on the list of B&B's in Bath. So while I would recommend it it fell down on a few small details which seems a pity. Eg the room we occupied was not quite en suite as it was situated on the landing and next door to the bedroom. Because we were last in for breakfast on the second day some dishes weren't in evidence and no yoghurt in sight. I know it would have been supplied had I asked but......having said this the owner was indeed helpful. No information about the city in the room and wasn't sure that the lounge was available for visitors where this information may have been located.
