My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. I booked online and asked at time of booking if we could have a bottle of champagne in our room for our arrival. Sadly this wasn't provided which was a shame.
We stayed in the Walnut room which was very pretty. There was an odd room off the bathroom though and this had old computers and paint pots stored in it! Also our TV didn't work which was a shame.
The hotel is perfectly located to explore the town and staff were happy to store our bags for us after we checked out as our train wasn't until 4pm- this allowed us to explore the town further without the burden of big bags.
Breakfast was lovely and served in the hall which is beautiful. Overall we had a lovely stay and despite the niggly issues we would definitely return if we stay in Shrewsbury again.
