“And Ed the Duck Too”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

There could never be a warmer welcome. Tea and coffee (and cake) in the conservatory while the room was made ready and what a room!
A large and very comfy bed and a fridge so we could have real milk and bottled water. The water pressure in the bath room was out of this world and there was even a duck to share your bath!
The views from the bedroom are stunning.
Nothing seems to have been forgotten - not only where there plastic tumblers in the bathroom but real wine glasses and bottle opener along with a wine keeper.
There was no need to be bored with plenty of reading material to hand.
The breakfast was excellent with only local ingredients used and plenty of it. Instead of a tiny coffee pot a large cafeteria was provided.
The pub next door is an experience too!!!!!
Well worth a visit - we will be back.

Absolutely fab stay at the Nelson Cottage. Staying overnight for a relatives birthday, so only a 1 night stay but the owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Even allowed some family members to come to the Cottage who weren't staying, which I thought was very accommodating of them.
We were offered tea and cakes on arrival. Shown to a beautifully decorated rooms with a lovely outlook. Room had everything you could need, even a bottle opener in case you just wanted a quiet night in. Breakfast served in the morning to order and whenever you wanted it. All in all a brilliant stay and I would recommend to anyone!

A warm welcome with a cup of tea and cake on arrival. Our room was large and well appointed. Our hosts suggested a place for dinner and even rang and made a booking. Breakfast was very good with the cooked breakfast being made from great local produce. You couldn't have asked for better. There is good wifi and off street parking. It is only a five minute drive to Ludlow City Centre. I would certainly stay here again.

A very friendly greeting plus a very welcome pot of tea and homemade cake on arrival. Our room was called Emma, very comfortable with lovely views to the hills, overlooking cattle in the field and the rabbits leaping around in the evening sunshine. A well appointed bathroom which in keeping with everywhere else was spotlessly clean. The fridge in the bedroom was good as it was big enough to take any nice food goodies and especially as you had fresh milk for a cup of tea in the morning. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast were superb, all in all a comfortable and clean place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Nelson Cottage! Fred and Jan are great host! They came and picked us up at the station and brought our bags back to the station when we were leaving! The room was very comfy and the bathroom was large and very clean! The breakfast was great, we really liked the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! All in all one of the best B&B stays we have had!

We stayed in a large, warm, clean bedroom towards the rear of the property.

The property is located on the outskirts of Ludlow. Its a 10 to 15 minute walk into the town centre which should be fine for most people. Although it is situated om the main road which goes through Clee Hill, it is a fairly quiet road particularly at night so you don't really notice it.

Breakfast was very nice and the owners very friendly-what more could you want.

The owners were really helpful, picking me up from the station and offering a lift back again. The room was big and clean with lovely cake and biscuits on arrival as well as a fridge with fresh milk. Big Bathroom. Breakfast was cooked to order, good quality and served at the exact time requested - helpful for workdays. I would definitely stay there again.
