“NOT a noisy grotty pub!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Mill House B&B is a quiet, beautifully restored old mill on the outskirts of Ludlow, NOT a noisy pub in a dodgy neighborhood. As a recent reviewer noted, TA is confusing the two and the photo is also wrong. My room was very comfortable and well-appointed; there's a comfortable spacious lounge and the breakfast room is really beautifully done up, a lovely combination of the old and new --a perfect example of restoring with thought and taste. And breakfast was excellent with local products, including great sausages. (After several trips to the U.K. staying in B&Bs, I'm becoming a sausage snob.) Hospitality excellent--I arrived on foot and tired, and was offered a lift to the nearest pub. Highly recommended.

Just got back from a smashing weekend at this super b+b guest house, set in Squirrel Lane which is 5mins from Ludlow town,The photo of the Mill Hotel on this page is the wrong building and should not be on here also there are reviews on this page for the said pub.....someone has got there wires crossed and are leaving reviews for 2 different places,Anyway back to the Mill House B+B...with a mill pool opposite and woods all around its is so nice we might just try to go back again when we get chance ..the bedroom was wonderfull and Jean and husband very polite and friendly ,breakfast was superb with everything you could think of.The Bull Ring Tavern in the town was very good for food with a great menu and nice staff, drive in to the town and park in the big car park behind the CO-OP with free parking after 6pm...

This is a lovely place to stay, set in a beautiful spot just outside Ludlow. Mill House is full of character and set in lovely informal gardens. Proper milk for tea in the room and home made jams were much appreciated. We would definitely like to return.

Stayed for 2 nights last weekend. Room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. Had a drink in the pub and everyone was friendly. Despite being a girl on my own, I felt safe - the area is not dodgy it is right in the town centre, 2 minutes from the high street and the embankment. Probably not for everyone, but the price and location were perfect for me and I would stay there again.

My partner and I stayed for one night at The Mill House and were very sorry to have to leave! A short journey from the centre of Ludlow, the house is in a peaceful setting amongst the trees along Squirrel Lane.

Our enormous room was lovely, a big, comfortable bed, tea and coffee, tv and a whirlpool bath with plenty of hot water to soak in. Complementary shower cream, shampoo and hair conditioner was available as were nice big fluffy towels.

For breakfast there was a choice of fruit juices and fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals plus a full cooked breakfast (tasty bacon and sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato, fried bread and an egg - poached, scrambled or fried) with toast and home made preserves and as much tea or coffee as you liked.

We were pleased that the weather was quite good after the very wet winter that we have had. After a good nights sleep, we woke in the morning to a lovely, sunny day with the birds singing in the garden.

Jean and Gordon are perfect hosts and we were made to feel very welcome. We would definitely like to visit again.

I was looking forward to our family trip back to Ludlow as I had not visited this lovely town in Shropshire for some years.
As always it did not disapoint!. It was a family trip and I decided to stay at the Mill House B&B.
Gordon was waiting sitting outside this lovely old mill to greet us.
It was everything I hoped it would be secluded opposite the old pond which powered the Mill. Inside a delight for us as we collect antiques and Gordon and his wife clearly liked them too.
Our rooms were comfortable and the huge bathroom with Spa bath and shower was perfect to relax in.
Breakfast was relaxed in a charming dining room. I will go back and quite frankly did not want to leave. Perfect

We had a lovely two night stay here near Ludlow. The Mill House is interesting and quirky, the room and bed were comfortable and clean as was the very spacious ensuite bathroom (with whirlpool bath!!). Breakfast was beautifully cooked, with a good range of cereals, fruit and yoghurt to begin. Jean and Gordon were most hospitable and gave helpful advice and directions. Fresh milk came along with the tea and coffee in the rooms - lovely. Such quiet, tranquil surroundings ensured good nights' sleep. We had no problem parking at any time in Ludlow, although we could easily have used the Park and Ride, which was very close by if needed.
