Very good hotel in a great place for exploring the Peak District, friendly staff, clean, well decorated and comfortable, especially for the price we paid £44 per night. Views from the hotel are great. Only criticisms: the cleaners were very noisy, we wanted to have a lie in on our first day but at around 9.30 the cleaners decided to have a conversation outside our door. The shower pipe needs to be longer so you can stand under it. The heating wasn't on in the morning, having thermastats in the rooms would make the temp more comfortable. The coffee could be better. These are just small things but all of which can make a stay perfect if they are addressed.
