“Fine and Handy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Nice to return to this hotel after a long absence. No long check-in queues and pleasant reception staff. The presence of a small Costa Coffee outlet adjacent to the main entrance helps add an air of a proper hotel to the arrival experience due to the associated seating areas and paying customers. I was allocated a disabled adapted room and this was significantly more spacious than a standard room. No need to worry about external noise intrusion as the secondary double glazing is well up to the job. I did think replacing all or part of the tiled reception flooring with a good grade carpet may improve the ambience in that area.

Stayed in the premier inn on 5th as I was attending a concert at the o2, was checked in nice and quickly by a young lady called Prisula, the room we stayed in was big and spacious for me and my son, decided to go for a drink around 1pm only to find the bar was closed, the hotel is clean and tidy with great staff and would recommend this hotel to anyone going to a concert at the o2,

Room Tip: Recommended this hotel if going to the o2

Cheap, in all respects.
Not situated at the 'best end of town', next to a £ shop and opposite empty former Co-Op department store. Once you have negotiated your way through the smokers at the entrance you are in a dismal reception area rather like the entrance to an office block.
Room was the usual Premier Inn, clean and what one expects from Premier Inn.
Restaurant - poor service, amateur. Food OK for the price and I suppose all you can expect.
Breakfast - cold plates, hot food barely warm. Not worth the money.
OK if you get a cheap price and are not too fussy.

Room Tip: Some rooms face a busy road. Ask for a quiet room.

It was all a bit unfortunate.. not least that there is a chain of corner shops in the city also called Premier.. so we visited a few of those on our hunt for our destination.
Hence the fact we arrived very late, very disorientated and very tired.
So we couldn't find the door to the hotel .
And had to be let in via the service lift, through the kitchens, by a very bemused but very nice Premier Inn lady. Who then, in spite of being in her pyjamas, (for a charity event) came outside and directed me into the car park. After all of that 'beyond the call of duty' the room was great, the bed was firm and the handmade pizza (that the kitchen staff made late at night for my hungry children) better than many others at double the price. Thank you.

A wonderful hotel to stay. Most like any other Premier Inn hotel in the country. Clean & tidy, budget friendly. Situated in the heart of Sheffield City centre, which was a matter of great convenience. Staff was very friendly as well. Rooms are big and well furnished, would love to go back again.

Stayed in a family room overlooking the main road. Room was lovely and clean all of us slept well with no noise disturbance bearing in mind the hotel was full and we were on a busy main road. Staff made us feel very welcome on arrival and at breakfast the following morning. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel exceptional value
