My wife and I went to Sheffield to collect our daughter for the Christmas holiday. She is a student at the university and the pub is in what is vey much a student area.
We had time before her last lecture for lunch and called here on the recommendation of my daughter's friend. We were not disappointed. A good choice of beers was marred only by my limitation to only a half as I was driving. As a pub, it is fairly small but even at lunchtime had a verity pleasant atmosphere.
The menu was limited, as in all good small restaurants, and the food was truly excellent. My daughter had the burger which looked good and she enjoyed. My wife ordered the pasta dish and I chose the finnan haddock. My wife had not realised that the pasta came with much cheese so I ended up eating it and losing my haddock!
We were all very pleased with the food.
This place is really a gem.
