“Fantastic Pre Theatre Menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

I booked the pre-theatre package as we were going to the Crucible to see a show; the restaurant is located only a five minute walk away and they offer an added bonus of free car parking if you dine with them. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very welcoming. The food was out of this world and was served quickly and efficiently and most of all value for money. I would defiantly recommend this restaurant and will be going back again soon.

“Definitely worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

A group of 17 of us visited on a Saturday night for our friends birthday. The bar area is really nice and it was easy to get a drink. We were shown to a nice long table where our starters were waiting for us. I had a trio of shellfish and it was wonderful. My wife had duck pâté which was equally as tasty. For main I had chicken with a sweet potato mash and veg. It was lovely. My wife had risotto that was the dish of the night for me. We then had cheese for pudding. With a few drinks, a glass of bubbly and 3 courses each it worked out at £65 per couple which we though excellent value. The service was very good, no long waits either plus there was a tribute act on if you wanted to watch for free. We went into the casino afterwards and had great fun. Thank you for a wonderful night.

“Scrumptious top quality food at decent prices!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

We booked the restaurant as we had pre booked tickets for a gig that was on the same night. When i rang to book, the lady on the phone said she would give us a table near the front so we could see the band whilst eating however when we were shown to our table (30 minutes after the time we had booked even though there were plenty of free tables), we were at the opposite end of the restaurant and there was a partition up so wherever you were seated, you could not see the band at all! This was a bit annoying but as we had not yet paid for the gig, we decided to stay and just listen to them from where we were seated. After this first hiccup, things didn't seem to pick up as before we gave our order, the waiter reeled off a list of the food that they had run out of, one of which was what we wanted to order. We had been given menus to look through whilst we waited in the bar for our table to be ready. There was no mention at the time that anything had run out which would have been useful.
After deciding on a different meal, we ordered and waited. This was the turn around, the food was amazing! We both ordered the seared sea bass fillet with roasted pepper risotto and a parmesan crisp. It was divine, one of the best meals i have ever had. Then onto dessert, i ordered the chocolate and praline fondant with lavender cream which i was told would be a 15 minute wait but was worth it; how right he was, it was gorgeous!! My boyfriend ordered lemongrass and kaffir lime leaf brûlée with chef’s shortbread which was apparently also amazing!
The staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurant itself was very nicely decorated and had a nice warm feeling. We were also surprised by the prices, the sea bass was £14 and the desserts £5 each, excellent value! Overall, after a rocky start, it turned into a very nice evening. We would definitely return and i would more than likely have the very same meal again!

“Good staff, great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

With very modern decor, the Farenheit Bar and Grill is a really good place to eat. Part of the Genting Club in Sheffield, but no need to be a member, it serves great food. The kitchen hatch is open to the restaurant so you can see all the activity going on... great for steaks, chicken and fish.

“Fabulous food, unprofessional manager.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I enjoyed a rare evening out with friends at The Genting Club. We decided to eat here and I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious and the chefs worked extremely hard on what was a very busy night and despite an extremely rude and abrasive "restaurant manager" talking/barking derogatory orders and demands at them in full view and hearing of the diners.
The reality was the kitchen was functioning very well but the "restaurant manager" was a buffoon who couldn't organise a kiddies tea party. He was obnoxious at best, a total liability at worse.
Hats off to the chefs for working so hard and providing delicious food under the sub-standard management. My husband sent you the drinks to say well done!

Hi Amanda,

We are delighted that you had a lovely evening with us, however so disappionted that you were left down by a member of staff. Please feel free to contact me on sheffieldassistantsalesmanager@gentingcasinos.co.uk so you can inform me of further details of your visit so I can then investigate this further.
Kind Regards
