“Average at best, but good decor”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

+ Nice decor
+ Nice crockery

- Was advised by waitress that we could bring our own booze, which we did, but then were confronted by an angry restaurant owner.
- Small portions

Nothing to write home about.

“Probably a better ambience in the evening”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

The staff here are lovely. Decor is great, but probably lends itself to evenings more than lunch- it was a very cold day when we went and was quite chilly inside too.
From previous reviews , I think maybe our experience was below par . Very average food, lacking flavour but I'm sure it's usually better.
A great place to visit for something different and good luck to the lovely staff.
Ps as an authentic African eating experience, they don't serve alcohol- great fruit cocktails instead!

“Lamb soup's our fave!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

This is a lovely restaurant; time and effort has gone into the decor, service and most importantly the food. First complementary olives and bread, next we had delicious lamb soup and a filo pastry parcel, then a fish tagine and special mixed meat couscous. We were so full we just had mint tea to finish, but the desserts sounded tasty too. Going on a Sunday we got the 3 for 2 main deal so have the spare tagine in our fridge! Excellent value.

“Lovely restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

Mothers day and was very quiet. Lovely juice cocktails. No alcohol served or can be brought in, but does that really matter for an hour or so? Great service and very friendly. No starters except hummus and bread, also complimentary olives, bread and oil on table. 3 of us had tagine, 2 lamb and 1 chicken. Tagines come with a choice of rice, bread or couscous (not that clear on menu). You won't be hungry. Lamb was on the bone (shank) and delicious. Don't expect spicy food though. Couscous special (lamb, chicken and Algerian sausage) was good. Served on a bed of couscous with a separate bowl of sauce which was slightly spiced/tomatoey. Sausage was spicy. Didn't have pudding as we were all full. Waiter gave all the ladies a flower. All in all very good, should be busier. Great value and 3 for 2 on tagines (think Sun offer). Give it a try!

“Great North African restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

I've been to this restaurant several of times. The deco is very authentic, love the fantastic lighting. The food is also equally excellent. The owner was particularly fantastic, very welcoming. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for something a bit different."
