I found this place on here and it seemed lovely, and indeed is! The place is gorgeous a really nice valley and gorgeous views with a little church nearby and a small river! Ideal for a walk after lunch!
The food is very nice and quite cheap too! (most mains are under £10) My friend had a piece of lamb that was huge and he said it was cooked to perfection, and that the mash going with it was lovely (and him being Irish can be fussy with mashes hehe). I'm vegetarian and there were plenty of veggie options and very well labelled. I had chilli, which looked in hindsight maybe it wasn't the best option as it was a bit dull and too spicy for my taste, and the rice slightly overcooked; but the chips with it were handmade and great! The platters as other comments say are massive, neither of us could finish them! They have a selection of locally produced ales that is quite cool, I had one produced just down the road that was lovely :D
It was quite full since it was a Saturday with lovely weather, but as advised in other comments in here we booked a table and it was great we got a nice table in a quiet area overlooking to the valley views :D It was indeed a very nice experience to repeat! My friend says we should go there at least once a month! And we live 40 miles away hehe :P Definitely will be back though :D
