Went here for tea during the week mostly because if being tempted by the offer of 20% off a la carte from voucher cloud. There was some delay in getting seated as the only waitress ( who I found out later was the deputy manager) we could see was busy going through a menu with another customer and his child, however once seated another waitress, very friendly, went through the soup of the day etc, and asked if we wanted bread and olives before our starters came. The olives were ok, but the bread, well hard as rock, even dipping them in oil and balsamic vinegar didn't soften them! However being one not to complain and make a fuss, we hoped the starters and main would be better. My starter of nachos was ok if a tad small, my friend was happy with her garlic bread with caramelised onions, it was huge. The mains arrived, I had a rack of ribs, which was tender but lukewarm and my friend had chimichangas, which she said was ok, a decent sized portion, but the rice was undercooked. I had Coal Mess for dessert which was ok. A waiter came over a few times asking if everything was ok, it got to the point of being annoying, and when he forgot to bring a glass of water we had asked for and presented us with the bill which we hadn't asked for we felt as though he was rushing us. I was surprised at being charged £4.95 for the bread board! Plus they hadn't applied the discount until we pointed it out. I have sent an email to get our concerns addressed and received a reply from the Deputy offering their apologies! A gesture of goodwill would have been nice. Overall it was average, I wouldn't go again, however it did have one good thing going for it. The Carling was spot on!!
