Decided to eat out at the last minute on a Saturday night. Couldn't get into our usual list of restaurants so we tried Maranellos . I'm glad we did . We had a great welcome from a charming young woman front of house. Drinks were delivered straight away with no waiting .
The menu was good with plenty of choice and some specials. The place was buzzing. The staff worked hard. The kitchen area was on display and we watched with interest as head chef Lucia worked feverishly over a multitude of stoves.
I had a vegetarian pancake for starter. It was piping hot and delicious. I had. Cod done in an Italian sauce which was first class. We went for house red which was very acceptable as was the second. Plenty of coffee to finish brought an end to a great evening.
