“Absolute gem in Reading Town Centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

Groupon voucher for afternoon tea - arrived in the middle of heavy rain, and found a little oasis of calm in Reading - lovely owner who provided a really beautiful afternoon tea, with tiny sandwiches of 4 different fillings, little cakes, millionaires shortbread and scones with cream and jam. Very tiny coffee/tea shop with it being part of a florists too (Sonning Flowers), so amazing perfume in the air and ladies working busily to get some beautiful flowers for a wedding. Thoroughly recommend!

“gluten free sandwich spot!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

Gluten free sandwiches with the same price and choice!
The nice lady who served me toasted the bread slightly, which always makes it better in my opinion!
Good service and nice to sit watch the ladies in the florist make some lovely bouquets!
Will definitely be heading back!

“Best afternoon tea going!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014 via mobile

I have been here a few times before and the food is amazing! Decided to try the afternoon tea and we were not disappointed! The sandwiches and cakes were freshly made and although a bit on the small side they were actually extremely filling and so tasty!! I've been to afternoon tea at the Hilton but this is so much nicer. The service is excellent and it is lovely to see a small independent tea room take care and pride in the food and drinks. I definitely recommend!

“Excellent Venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

I visit regularly during the week for lunch as its in the town centre, yet offer a very personal service. the food is all fresh handmade, none of this pre-packaged rubbish. There is plenty of variety on offer and the staff are always very helpful in suggestions. It offers a unique lunchtime and farr better than going to the other places where you are treated not so well.
I thoroughly recommend this as a visit for service and quality of food.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Took my Daughter with 4 of her friends as a treat for her 11th Birthday for Afternoon Tea. Although they were offered a carton of juice instead of tea but there was no offer of what sandwiches they would like and the ones that were serviced were not what I class as child friendly fillings. On top of that we were allowed 4 bite size sandwiches each which looked like all four were made from one slice of bread. The cakes were better but the cream & jam was put on the mini scones for us and as they were hot the cream went runny. So glad I got this as a deal but was still disappointing.
