We visited this pub after reading several current positive reviews about the food and were not disappointed.
There is a new chef who came to talk to us and asked for feedback - we found this a very refreshing approach. All the meals were piping hot and on hot plates, were well cooked and inexpensive, and made with good quality ingredients. The chef told us that his intention was to source locally when he could. Our son's sausages were from a local farm and he said that they were "the best he had ever tasted". Our steaks, which were not local, were nevertheless very good and tender.
And the London Pride on draught was good and hoppy.
