Very very small attic room, 3 flights of stairs, no lift, 5 min. walk outside to get to room( in the rain). Shower did not work. very hot. 1 night bed & breakfast & evening meal £95. Would not go again.

Stayed at this hotel for a few days each week over a 3 week period.For the first week I got the tiny attic room, and as I am 6'1" tall, the single bed jammed between 2 walls about 5'9" apart was not ideal!I got a slightly nicer room for the second 2 weeks, the big problem was the heat, the hotel is boiling! I realise that it was at a time when the country was experiencing a heatwave, but running the hot water pipes under the bedroom floors is surely a mistake.On the positive side, it is close enough to Reading City Centre to walk in, and there is plenty of parking (the car park has a CCTV camera trained on it, but that didn't stop one car losing it's radio when I stayed there)

The hotel has been newly refurbished and the serivce was friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable sitting in the bar & restaurant even though I was travelling alone.
