“perfect location at Oxford uk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

We had a four night stay at Room 8. THe place is quiet even though it is by the busy LONDON Road. Buses going down to the city and back is very frequent, practically every 5 mins or so. The room and bathroom are clean. The English breakfast is excellent and Luke and histeam are very helpful. Excellent place to stay in Oxford for a trip.

Outstanding stay at Red Mullions (again). Luke and the team made our stay just perfect. Room (#5) was very comfortable and well decorated/maintained - shower was great. We had a very good night's sleep as well. Breakfast was perfect... Full English of course!! Well done guys. Best guest house in town.

The guest house is situated in Headington on the East side of Oxford. It is easy to reach from the ring road and is on a main bus route in to the city centre - although it is easy enough to walk. The off street parking is a bonus.

The owner is friendly and informative and was happy to recommend places to eat both locally and in the city centre.

Our ground floor bedroom was spacious and comfortable and only lacked bedside reading lights.

Breakfast service was very efficient. The breakfast room was, however, slightly dingy and could get overcrowded. This is only a minor criticism, though, and we'd happily stay here again

A real home from home. I had no idea what to expect as I chose the house from the internet but found it extremely comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. My room was small and compact, with a skylight for a window but cosy and spotlessly clean and well organised with a large comfortable bed, and plenty of space to unpack my clothes for a couple of nights. Excellent value compared with other places I could have booked, and there was parking in front of the house. The bus from town stopped just outside. Couldnt have been better and will definitely choose again if I have occasion to visit oxford.

Room Tip: My room was tiny but fine for me. My colleague had a more spacious room on the first floor, with bi...

we stayed here last weekend and had a fantastic time. We have stayed here on a number of previous occassions and each time we have been really impressed.
Luke and the rest of the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Luke ordered in specially for us gluten free bread and rice milk and the breakfast was fantastic -particularly omlettes and porridge. Luke also ordered taxis for us and gave us recommendations of where to eat.
Will definitely be visiting again

Our experience at this guest house proved to be very comfortable. Plenty of information given on our arrival how to get around and what was available. The cleaning/kitchen staff were extremely friendly and enjoyed a laugh and a joke. Great idea the choice of breakfast menu, which prevents wastage and ensures the guests have exactly what they would like. Our room was very comfortable and it was appreciated having bottled water with the welcome tray. The only negative was a wobbly headboard and the bathroom door a little scruffy. However neither of those interfered with the comfort of the room, but would expect décor to reflect the price. If we ever returned to Oxford we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Front double bedroom very large and airy - no traffic noise either.

More 'hotel' than B&B - great place to stay! Good rooms, lovely breakfast and the staff couldn't do enough to make sure we all had a great stay. Strongly recommend it for a place to stay; we shall definitely be returning!
