“A truly relaxing place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

To have a friendly pheasant turn up at your front door, or watch the rabbits and hares race across the fiends in front of you. Chaffinches, Blue Tits, Robins , name but a few, eating from the many feeders about. To hear the bird sing, or the deer bark, what place could be better for a nature lover.
Yes the cabin is beautifully furnished, comfortable and very friendly hosts! plus in the centre of everything you could wish for. A truly great place!!!

Thankyou Steve for your kind review. The deer has now found a mate so no more night calls. we have found a long tailed tits nest close to the cabin and the kites are building in the chestnut trees across the lake, so will see what happens there. Look forward to seeing you again soon and the wifi is working well. Theresa

We booked this wonderful cabin after reading all the rave reviews on TripAdvisor.
It was one of the most unique travel experiences that we have had in England.
First of all, Jim and Theresa Clark are a warm and wonderful couple whom you like from the first meeting.
The cabin that they have to offer is all by itself with incredible views on all sides. It is quiet and secluded for a feeling of privacy. Theresa leaves a welcome basket to get you started and we loved everything she had provided for us to eat.
We had car trouble on our first night of our 9 day stay and she got in touch with Hertz and actually drove us to get the transportation to Oxford for another rental car.We had fruits and vegetables from their gardens and can't begin to tell you how wonderful out trip was.
Theresa has maps and brochures and great ideas on what to see in that beautiful part of England.

Room Tip: There is only one little cabin and you have the whole farm and lake to yourself.

We spent the first two nights of our honeymoon here and loved the pretty décor of the cabin, the crisp cotton sheets and the views across the pond and meadows. Some nice breakfast provisions were provided and the owner sent some welcoming emails prior to our arrival.

What a really lovely garden house. I stayed here with my husband for our wedding anniversary and what a lovely peaceful, stay we had. The garden house was beautiful, very clean and cosy at night. The owners, family and Brenda we met were very friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We had the great pleasure of meeting 1 of the dogs Nellie, who is adorable!

I stayed at Lakeside Town Farm with my boyfriend in May and we both had a lovely time.
The lodge was really cosy and decorated beautifully. It had a small fire in the room which heated up the lodge quickly and the facilities were more than apt.

The fridge was stocked with milk and eggs when we arrived and there was fresh bread and orange juice which was a lovely surprise.

The lodge looked out onto a lake which was lovely to walk around and Theresa was a wonderful host.

The only improvement I would suggest would be a curtain or cover for the skylight as the sun was very bright shining through, making it difficult to sleep past 7am.

We had a fantastic weekend, celebrating my significant birthday. The cottage is decorated to a high specification with real attention to detail. Teresa and Jim were friendly and hospitable. They have a fabulous garden which is not only beautiful but peaceful - an amazing location. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

we stayed in the lodge for two night last week, although my husband was poorly, we had a lovely time, the rest was good for him and it was so peaceful and pretty . The lodge was well equipped and very clean and Theresa the lady who owns it was very nice and helpful. We saw that there was a lot to do in the local area but we stayed around the lodge and enjoyed the birds and flowers and peace and quiet. We would love to return in better health and have a good look around the area properly. thankyou for the break.x
