“Generally good but ask for a room in the annex if you want to sleep”

Expensive rooms - good food. Some rooms are in need of a refurbishment as is the bar area. Very popular during the week with business users as it is near to the Mini factory and a large business park. Often fully booked during the week.

The worst issue is a number of the rooms are next to the inner ring road and a busy flyover

AVOID these rooms unless you live next to an inner ring road and busy flyover!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the inner ring road/flyover. The Annex is the best location however some o...

No aircon in the rooms which meant a sweltering night for my family. A desk fan is provided which we had to leave on all night.

Rooms felt a bit tired and in need of a refurb but generally up to the usual PI standard.

Can't believe these guys still charge for wifi though!

Stayed here for 4 nights for business.
Although generally this premier inn was of the usual standard as far as cleanliness /fixtures/customer service etc goes the fact it is right next to the road on the main flyover at the Cowley Car Plant does make it a very noisy place. And added to that as it doesnt have air conditioning means that on a hot august nights your sleep may elude you.
Also as a person who spends 4 nights a week in hotels most weeks I am stunned that Premier Inn still charge a ridiculous amount for WiFi £12 per 24hrs!!
In recent times I have not been able to get a room at any Premier Inn for less than £88 and yet I still have to pay for WiFi. - I can go to Days Inn at Oxford and pay £55 (for admittedly a slightly less up to date but still clean room) with aircon and free wifi....no contest.

The Good:

Very clean
Mostly quiet despite the tendency of most low-rise motels to pass noise easily between rooms and down hallways. Traffic noise is also largely tolerable.
Towel warmer in the loo!

The Bad:

A bit expensive for what you get, but perhaps not by Oxford standards.
No air conditioning, not even a window fan. The building runs some 7-8 degrees warmer than the outside temperature.
Continental breakfast costs £5.25 and complete (cooked) breakfast even more - close to £8.
Wi-fi internet access is NOT included and costs £8-10 per day for decent access.
The front desk will not transfer incoming calls to rooms.
All AC power outlets in our room were clustered around the desk area, which was a bit inconvenient.
Perhaps some of these things are standard in UK hotels - first trip here so I may be complaining about things that most accept without question.
About a 10-minute walk to buses that run into the city centre.
Oh, and our toilet took 3 attempts to flush every time. Hmmmm.

Overall: you`ll save on staying in the city centre but beware all the hidden costs.

Have stayed here since June to end of August whilst working in the area.
The hotel is slap bang next to the main road and that did concern me.However the sound proofing is excellent and withdoubt the road noise has never disturbed my sleep.

The attached pub serves top rate food and the breakfast service is top notch.

Staff are all excellent and they really give the hotel that extra touch. The only thing I could pick fault in was I wished the TV in the room was a bit bigger. That's only as I have the Xbox with me.

The rooms I have had have been clean and the standards each day they set are 2nd to none.

I will defiantly recommend this Premier Inn to anyone coming to Oxford.

I stayed here for a friend's birthday in Oxford. Very good value given the price if other Oxford hotels that weekend. The room was large and very clean. Some signs of ageing / wear, but absolutely fine given that we simply used this as a base for the weekend. I would use this hotel again.
