I stay at this hotel 3-4 times a year for business and leisure reasons.
Positives are good parking and location for the A34, clean rooms with plenty of space (especially the exec rooms) and calming Japanese influenced decor; decent aircon; plenty of hot water and towels (plus fluffy toweling dressing gown if you have an exec room); very good fitness club and pool with nice changing rooms; airy public space; decent breakfasts; it is also a couple of minutes walk from the Park and Ride stop for the north of Oxford and the City Centre - much cheaper and quicker than waiting for a taxi -, and there is a garage in the same complex for petrol and all night shopping.
Negatives: bathrooms are variable and can be a bit small, even in the exec rooms, can't always get the Wifi or high speed links to work for PCs, the minibars are never stocked properly, no sleep function on the TV (no excuse nowadays);food in the restaurant can also be variable in the evening and you have to watch that they have charged you correctly for the set meal as opposed to adding up the components on the a la Carte. Also they have Jazz nights on some Fridays (which is OK if you like jazz). Sorting out the bill when it is wrong seems to take forever. Also, although it has non smoking rooms, I had to change one such room as it absolutely reeked of smoke.
A good deal if you are staying on Priority Club points - or advance purchase, but can be expensive for what you get. Better than most English chain hotels though, especially for space , design and cleanliness of the rooms
