This is one of the best known and busy pubs in Oxford, especially when the weather is nice. Allow no tourist guide to tell you any different despite its hidden location.
Restaurant: Good selection of better than average food for standard central Oxford rates (read £1.50 more than it should cost). Surprisingly fast service. Inside is a rather dull pub but you're going to the Turf to sit outside, a lovely terrace that is heated in winter and covered for the inevitable showers.
Pub: Always a fine selection of beer, wine, and cider. If it's tied to a particular brewery, I can't tell which as on every visit there is seemingly a completely different selection. Staff is a tad slow as the bar is somewhat too small for the number of customers, so approach with patience. It'll pay off.
