“Essential part of a visit to Oxford”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

There is no substitute to being guided by an expert. This tour takes about two hours and is full of interest and knowledge. We had a ten year old with us who bore with us until nearly the end, but she and her mum could leave whenever they wanted, which suited them. We had been on the same tour before, so could compare the itineraries. There are obviously differences, our visit being in term time, and we didn't actually go into any colleges this time, but there was plenty to see. Thoughtfully, we sat down for couple of short lectures. This tour is definitely worth £8 and takes you to places you may not find even with a good guide book.

“Inspector Morse tour”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

On Friday the 26th of April we were a group of ten people from Norway ,who have paied 8 GBP each for this guided Morse tour, and experieced almost nothing back. In several weeks we had been looking foreward to the trip, but it was a dissapointing experience. After a while we had to leave the tour. The guide was rather rude, almost bullying. Se was confusing. Started to tell a story, and in the middle of the sentence she said that she would come back to this theme, but it never happened.. When we left the tour she was rather happy because, as she said: "You have nothing to contribute with after all ---".

Actually, in my opinion we should get a refund of our payments, and I will be rather bad if this particular giude should be allowed to continue working as a gouide on this tours.

Dear Marilyn

Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback.
I am really sorry to hear that your tour was a disappointing experience. I will contact your guide and go through the Guides' Code of Conduct with her. Regarding the content of the tour, would you please give me more detailed information so that I can take this up with your guide and take the appropriate action? Could you please do this by email on wtours@oxford.gov.uk?

“Legendary University of Oxford Tour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

A great guide with a lot of experience and knowledge. She answered our questions and talked about the buildings and traditions at Oxford University. Especially she knew about the different traditions and habits of colleges.

“Very informative and reasonably priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

The tour starts at the Visitor Information Center and was 8 pounds/person when we visited. The guide was extremely informative and personable. Of note, there was a person in a motorized wheelchair with our group and our guide managed to accommodate this need with few problems. If you can imagine what it's like to navigate Oxford's cobblestone streets and steps in a wheelchair, you know this is no easy feat! Guide also had the ability to take us into several colleges and seemed to have good relationships with the folks at each location.
This was our favorite day trip from London and I would really recommend this tour company again.
We arrived in Oxford at 11 am, took the tour at 1pm and then had tea around 330 after the tour was over. Perfect day!
