“They have KEYS!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Like all Travelodges in our experience this one was clean, comfortable and very good value. The best thing here is the doors have KEYS not plastic cards. You cannot close those huge locks quietly with a card so it's easy to be woken late at night by someone closing the door down the corridor. Why don't they have KEYS in all their hotels? And the staff are very friendly.

Its a good location and very easy to get into Oxford itself. We also went to Blenheim Palace and into some of the surrounding villages and all were very easy to get around.
The room itself is pretty dates and could do with a lick fo paint and a little bit of TLC. That said, the bed was comfy and the room was clean - so when you're only paying around £40 a night it really is good value for money.
If you're only going a for a night and are doing lots of exploring I'd defo recommend this place.
If you want somewhere a bit ore luxurious then I'd look elswhere (although you may need to treble your budget!)

Stayed here for one night to sight see Oxford for the day/night. We picked this Travelodge as it was next to the Park and Ride site which in turn is within a 15 minute ride of the centre. Parking being pricey and wanting to have a couple of drinks, this basically solved both issues.
We arrived at the hotel at 11am and asked about the parking fees for our stay knowing we could not check in till later. Fortunately the parking machines were broken so result, free parking!!! We walked round the corner and caught the park and ride into Oxford. Very straight forward and we returned about 11pm to check in.
Very friendly staff, warm and quiet room which was spacious too. Hot shower and all the usual Travelodge trimmings. Only niggle for me was it needs a clean and a refurb of the main corridors and foyer areas, but I would definitely return and use it again. It's mega convenient for a visit to Oxford.

Easy to find but depending on the room location can be noisy especially if windows are open. The room was clean, tidy and a good size. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee making provided. £10 early check in charge and £3 for car parking were both a bit of a shock. Had an evening meal in the Holiday Inn next door which was good value and well cooked. Other meals can be obtained in the service area on the same site. Pre-Paid £41 which is great value especially compared to the Holiday Inn at over a £100. Would use it again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back away from service area are quieter.

Will agree with what most people say here regarding this hotel, this is a Travelodge and it served its purpose. Stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend as all other hotels from Oxford center outwards were charging ridiculously extortionate prices. But as it turns out the hotel was fine with a cheap park and ride service into town, which took no time at all. Although it was surrounded by main roads and is a welcome break site this did not affect the nights sleep as it is all very spread out. The room was clean and simple. Overall the hotel was clean, tidy and the staff all helpful and friendly. If I came back to Oxford I would use this Travelodge again purely on price and location from center ( around 3 miles )

I booked this hotel as the cheapest place available in the Oxford area for a 2 night stay to attend a wedding. The room was comfortable, but too warm. The mirror on the door was broken, but everything was clean and tidy. I had booked well in advance so the cost was low.

My friends and I used this hotel as a base for a trip to Oxford (3 minute walk to the Park and Ride so leave the car at the hotel) and also to nearby Blenheim Palace. We requested a room towards the back and were happy with 716 as a family room. Comfortable set up and friendly staff who helped with taxi service. Would recommend hopping across to the nearby Waitrose or Starbucks on site for breakfast or snacks. Reasonable price too.
