Went to visit oxford for two nights for valentines. Transport links decent - £4 for a 24hr pass on the park and ride runs from early morning till midnight. Average stay, room was on ground floor - fairy noisy due to being on the side of the petrol station. Had to keep curtains closed as a lorry was parked in close vicinity. Room clean, bed comfy, shower decent. Hotel staff friendly - and helpful, gave us maps and showed us where the restaurants/bars were. Accidently overslept and checked out at 2pm with the £10 charge. £114 for fri/sat stay - not too bad !

Room Tip: Try not to stay on ground floor facing the petrol station - as if you leave the window open it can g...

The Travelodge is very well placed for trips to Oxford. It was clean, tidy and had very friendly reception staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. It’s also easy to find, being just off the main road. The room itself is what you would expect – I had a small bath, shower, tea making facilities, TV and a very comfortable bed. The room was clean and warm with temperature control on the radiator so you can have the room as hot or as cool as you choose. Important for me is that I can open the windows and I could, although obviously they have a restrictor on them so you can only open them so far. The beauty of this Travelodge is that if you are planning to visit the city of Oxford then you can just park up at the Travelodge and catch the park and ride bus in, which is a very reasonable £2.40 return per adult. The park and ride is about a 5 minute walk from the entrance to the hotel, so it’s easily accessed - just cross over the car park diagonally (heading for the garage) and over the next car park in the same manner and you’ll see a few steps. Climb those and turn immediately left and you’ll see the bus stops and all the signage for the park and ride. It’s the 300 bus that you’ll need to get to the city and it will drop you right in the heart and it runs every 12 minutes or so. The timetable is available online if you need it here: http://parkandride.oxfordbus.co.uk/timetables-fares/300 There’s also a Shell garage next to the Travelodge, a mini Waitrose and a KFC. The garage sells newspapers if you need those for a lazy morning read. A downside is that you have to pay for parking, which was approximately £3 per 24 hours. Bring change for the meters as it’s one of those that you need to punch in your registration and put cash in, although I think you can pay by card as well. The car park is large and holds 100+ cars. As the park and ride takes only 8 minutes or so it meant that Mon-Sat you could catch the bus to Oxford for dinner as the last bus is late (around 11pm) and have a glass of wine or two. However, be aware that on Sundays the buses finish early so you’ll need a taxi back if going out for dinner or drinks then. Free wifi for 30 minutes then chargeable. I had a good signal with no problems. All in all a very convenient way to see the city and switch off due to no driving being necessary and I’d definitely use it again.

I'm in UK in 3 month long opera tour. I'm working for Ellen Kent Opera International company. February 19-22 I am in Travelodge Oxford Peartree. Very cozy hotel, helpful hotel staff. Beenish and Marcia at Reception helped me willingly and straight away when I asked them to help resolving my question. I'm really happy here. I stay in many travelodges and I always value welcoming hotel staff, as I think it is the most important condition. At least for me:)

Not a particularly friendly welcome. Rooms hot, smelly and bed uncomfortable, the duvet was torn and ragged at the bottom, you could feel every spring in the extra bed. Had to have the window open as fully as it would go to allow fresh air in. Very good location to Oxford and to park and ride. I stayed here because of the New Look advertisement, look is as far as it goes, comfort definitely not there.

Very clean comfortable room. Great location in walking distance to the park and ride bus service into Oford City centre(£2 per person)10 mins from Blenheim Palace by car. Limited parking which is charged at £3 per day. We got the last parking bay and we were staying in Feburary .pleanty of other places around to park but not sure of cost and restrictions. WIFI is £12 for 7 nights.

We stayed just one night as a stop over to see a play and visit Oxford the following day. Staff were pleasant and very helpful particularly with the park and ride information. The room was basic but had everything we needed for a restful night. We were pleased that the room was not noisy dispite being just off a main roundabout. Would be happy to stay here again.

Situated close to the Peartree park and ride for Oxford and just off the A 34 this hotel is ideally placed for visiting Oxford. Although somewhat functional, rooms are clean and well prepared and the staff very accommodating. It is excellent value for money. Close by are several good eating places and if you don't want to drive you can eat in the nearby holiday inn. There is a nearby Waitrose shop for convenience foods. Although there is a small charge for parking outside the hotel you can walk to the park and ride and if you have a senior citizens bus pass get into Oxford for free.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the back of the hotel. Wi/fi is only free for 30 mins
