“Great apartment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2010

We had a lovely one bedroomed apartment, parking underground was ample, up a few stairs to the reception to book in then up in the lift to the apartment. No-one around which suited us. The apartment was a corner one on the first floor, nice big windows but overlooking the main road and traffic lights so quite busy with traffic but the noise didnt bother us and we kept the windows and curtains closed. The kitchen was modern with washer and fridge, nice tea and coffee and milk provided, only downside no dishwasher so had to wash all utensils to use them again, living area comfy with tv and dvd player, cd and radio, bed comfy, bathroom clean with nice toiletries and towels, our apartment had access to a balcony area but we didnt use because of said traffic, also saw tab ends appear presumably from apartments above who must have been smoking out their windows!!!!, location good literally 2 minutes walk to the city centre shops, bars and restaurants, also a handy Tesco express nearby for food and drink, would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The apartment is perfect. It was absolutely spotless and perfectly appointed. Joan, the booking agent was wonderful to work with and went out of her way to ensure that the booking was arranged to our satisfaction.

Unfortunately, the noisy upstairs neighbors overshadowed how wonderful the apart was. They began partying the first night we were there around 5:00 in the evening and didn't stop until 4:30 the next morning. The second night, they started around 9:30 and continued well into the next morning. To make matters worse, an alarm in an office building a block away went off all night Friday night and all day Saturday. The noise was unbelievable. Between the party upstairs and the alarm I was up at 3:30 in the morning and got very little sleep. While I realize the alarm is not the fault of the apartment, it was disconcerting that there wasn't anyone onsite to contact the next morning about the incessant partying or the alarm.

If you are looking for a lovely apartment for a short stay, definitely consider City Pads, but if the noise level begins to rise, find someone to call immediately!

Stayed here while visiting family with a spot of christmas shopping thown in. Booked direct onine, no problems. Got an email a couple of day before informing of key code number and letting us know we had been upgraded to a two bedroom apartment at no extra charge, even though we only used one bedoom the two bathooms made life a lot easier. We were greated by a nice lady on reception who pionted us to our apartment. The apartment was clean and modern and obviously quite new. Loads of space for storage which is good specially when been shopping !!!! Parking was safe & undergound and there is a lift so no stairs with cases and bags. Niether of us could believe how quiet it was in the room being so close to the city centre (5 mins walk) The only down side if any would be a bit of a hill to walk up on the way home, maybe worth thinking about if you have dodgy legs. But all in all very good and would def 'stay here again.

We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment for one night. The first impression of the apartment was really really good, and not misleading at all.

I also liked that we were contacted shortly after we booked, and were sent the codes for accessing the parking and our apartment a few days before we arrived.

The kitchen was not very well stocked - only four glasses, four bowls, four plates, etc, and no microwave!! I don't think I could have coped for more than a week, but it was fine for one night.

I thought it was a bit strange that the door to the main bedroom automatically closed. I had to prop it open so that my (1.5yo) daughter didn't get stuck in it.

I really appreciated the washer/dryer, though.

a very nice comfortable city apartment. The view was the only let down (but i expect the street facing rooms would be much better).
Its very clean, adequately spacial, nicely furnished and comfortable.
I would definitely book again. Much better value than the Hilton!

Absoultly great apartment, good location, only several mins walk to city center, very close to some top resturants in Nottingham. The apartment is big, clean and comfort, you have everything for daily life on hand. If you have several persons travel together, this is a good choice.

Stayed here for one night, location was great for walking into the centre of town and the underground secure parking was a great bonus.

We had a one bed apartment, it was pretty basic, had a well stocked kitchen and nice living area. The bathroom was abit shabby and could have been a bit cleaner (especially around the shower).

Can imagine this place would be good for families because of the washing machine and kitchen area, although I am not sure about the mixture of people who stay here, Sunday morning we were greeted by a lift floor and corridor covered in chips and my hubby had to pick up some of the mail and leaflets that had been thrown around.

Good location though, the Playhouse is a nice spot to sit outside (about 2 mins away)
