I stayed here last week overnight on business and to be fair, the hotel ticks all boxes for the business traveler.
All Jurys Inn are pretty much the same so if you have seen one then you have seen them all. Friendly check in staff, good bar, clean and tidy room and a comfy bed.
My problems were as follows, some of which are out of the control of the hotel.
My biggest gripe, in this day and age is paying for wifi. I despise anywhere that does this as it is just exploiting the expenses of the traveler so for that reason, I wont come back. I dont have to pay for wifi in McDonalds so why pay in a hotel where I spend £60.00 for a room.
Next, noisy neighbors. At 3.00AM the people in the next room where battering the hell out of the door to get in. Obviously drunk but that was me woken for a good while.
Finally, parking. There is no parking on site which for a hotel of this size is not good enough. There are 2 car parks in proximity, one of which is a warehouse about 300 years away at £7.00 for the evening and my choice was the multi storey at the train station which was a few minutes walk but in my eyes more secure and cheaper at £4.00 for the evening.
Overall, everything was OK but I wont be coming back in a hurry.
