“interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

a nice walk from the premier inn along the canal, very interesting the history of the cottages and the caves, many things that my said little Nanna had one of them. Very interesting the innovation of people in the OLD DAYS, some off the younger generation should pay attention. The sort off place that you would donate old equipment to.

“Daily Life”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

I love daily life museums. This one is nice in that it shows Nottingham in many different periods of history. You get to see air raid shelters and living areas back in caves behind the building. Back in the building, they have rooms set up as a general store and other historical rooms. I was very interested in the WWII section.

My only complaint is that they only take cash, and the nearest ATM is not very near at all.

“A walk down memory lane.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Visited the Brewhouse Yard museum during a 1940's re-enactment weekend. Music and dancing, militaria, costumes and memorabilia. It was all there, plus the museum building itself with all of its artefacts showing the way life was in Nottingham in the past. Absolutely brilliant!

“Brewhouse Yard”

Great to walk back in time to the 30's, 40's and 50's. It brings back lots of childhood memories to people of a certain age. We had a wonderful time wandering around. You go at your own pace and are never hurried. There are guides to help you along the way. Well worth a visit
