A bit of an odd looking building but the rooms were very nice. Myself and a few others in our party kept banging our legs on the corner of the bed as it sticks out. The shower was very difficult to turn on and we were a bit worried about breaking it but once you worked it out it was good. Very quiet rooms. You can't hear other people's TV's, showers or loo's flushing and the doors to the corridor are solid so little night time disturbance from other guests return to their rooms.
The staff on the whole were very nice and very helpful although we found one lady seemed defeated by the most simple of questions. There did appear to be a bit of a basic training gap though. Hotels often take a deposit from your card on arrival to cover anything charged to your room, it is perfectly reasonable. However the reception staff caused a lot of confusion to guests because unless you questioned why they were taking more than the agreed rate for the room they did not explain this. Likewise, it happens that restaurants sell out of a menu item but they also usually tell you before allowing you to make your selection so you are not disappointed. These basic communication skills essential in hospitality seem to be overlooked and would greatly improve the impression of the hotel if addressed.
The food was very nice. Everyone in our large party was pleased with their meals. Breakfast was very nice on the first morning, cooked to order with a nice selection of cereals, fruit etc. On the second day it was OK but all buffet style so not so nice but alright compared to other hotels. Some things were noticeably budget, which let it down including the sausages, condiments (vinegary sauces) and baked beans yet other things were very good like the condiments, bacon and tomatoes. Avoid the UHT milk in the jugs on the tables and use the proper milk from the cereal selection if you are fussy like me!
Avoid the first floor, apparently they sometimes get guest complaints about noise on that floor.

Many thanks for your great review.
I can assure you the first floor.. just as the remaining floors are all built with the same level of insulation..
I can inform you that the hotel is currenly installing new shower controles that will be much easier to operate.
I also can confirm that we do not have any UTH milk in the restaurant. All milk is fresh both with individual coffee service or during breakfast. The only UTH milk is in our bedroom for tea and coffee making facilities .... however we would gladly bring up fresh milk to the room if any guests would request this.
I hope to welcome you back soon.
