“Disgraceful service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Pre booked too eat here with my wife and mother using our gourmet society card. When we arrived we were being shown too our seats when the manager came over too us and asked us too leave as two of the party were wearing football shirts. In no place is a dress code highlighted both outside or on the website where I pre booked. The place was empty and you wonder why an empty place would turn away customers! Have since complained too the establishment yet not received a reply. Poor service all around and will not return too this chain! Even worse that the football shirt was for the home town team! Have also contacted the club too let it know what establishments value our local teams!

it was very quiet and does really nice well presented food.
I know its really busy friday and saturday nights with partying. but if you pick the right time its really nice place to go for a meal.
I recomend the sausage sandwich.

“Unique drinking venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

If you are looking for a bar which serves cheap drinks, then Pitcher & Piano is definitely not for you! The drinks prices here are certainly pricey, but in return you get to enjoy your drink in a beautiful former church admiring stained glass windows - where else can you find that?

This place is very popular so be prepared to wait until you are served and finding a seat may be difficult at peak times, so perhaps Friday/Saturday night is not the best time to visit this place and my advice would be to go when it is a bit quieter!

“Excellent location... Shame about attitude!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013 via mobile

Arrived on a works party to be told straight away by the lady behind the bar... "I'm the only person on the bar so you'll have to wait".

Not exactly the best first impression, but after a 10 minute wait my drinks order was processed fine, but the sheer wait and attitude in the first place dampened the experience.

The location is absolutely fantastic and it's such a shame the team on duty do not share the enthusiasm that the place is worthy of.

Pity, but maybe we just got a team member on an off day!

£4.80 for Strawberry and Lime cider a tad high, but presented very well with fresh strawberries and lime.

“Beautiful Building But Not Much Soul”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

The building was absolutely beautiful and worth checking out, some of the food deals looked decent (e.g. 3 nibble/tapas dishes and a bottle of wine for £17.95) but two pints came to £9 which is a bit steep! Slightly annoyed that the ladies toilets were on the very top floor, I always think the ladies should be accessible by the least amount of steps because of high heels (even though I wear flats). It was quite busy with a bit of an atmosphere but just didn't seem to have that much character, slightly pretentious with shot girls walking around in skimpy dresses selling Patron.
Worth going for one drink or maybe checking out in the day time but not all that.
