Can't really fault this place. I looked at loads of hotels and reviews for Nottingham City Centre and eventually went for the Premier Inn as it looked the best all around option. Would definitely stay here again if in the city centre. Third good experience of a Premier Inn in a year. Very accessible for a concert at the Royal Concert Hall, which was our main reason for coming. Also good access to a wide range of nearby restaurants. Nice hotel breakfast too and not noisy at all.
Don't rely too much on your SAT NAV though as the NG1 5LT postcode didn't work properly on mine or my friend's SAT NATs. The SAT NAV for Goldsmith Street was directing us into a tram-only zone and we had to work our way around the one-way system to get ourselves right again, which took a while. Arguably better to find yourself a parking space first at the multi-story public car park in Talbot Street and take the five minute walk to the hotel to check in. If you are early and are going to try for one of the limited parking spaces at the hotel, if you're approaching from M1 & A610 as we were, go along the full length of Clarendon Street before turning right onto Goldsmith Street and the hotel is soon on your right. DO NOT try and turn onto Goldsmith Street via Chaucer Street or Talbot Street in a vehicle - you will not get to the hotel! From memory, you're fine going down Talbot Street and straight on (across/over Goldsmith Street) when you leave the multi-story public car park and you follow the one-way system round to get back towards the M1.
I hope this advice is correct anyway and may save someone else the slight issues we had.
BUT please please do not let this put you off the hotel. It was great. Just be wary your SAT NAV may lead you places you don't want to go and try to double check your route plan before you come. You could always stop and call the hotel 10 minutes before you get near to see if there are any parking spaces left at the hotel. If not, head straight for the Talbot Street car park.
