“Great friendly staff with reasonably priced food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and the service and food was excellent. The staff were very accommodating and we were a big party. Portion sizes are excellent value for money, we will defiantly be back!

“Cheap pub grub”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

This is part of the hungry horse chain. The food is bog standard and mass produced. It fills a hole and is cheap. The veggie options are poor. Ate there yesterday and menu was further limited as the new menu is due out and several items no longer in stock. Chips were cold, burger was greasy. Unlikely to return for food.

“its ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Food ok, bottle of savvy b good value, but not somewhere id go for a special occasion.....but some do. Good last drop in for a drink on the way home. Veggie choices limited, bar staff friendly. let down by inconsiderate parents with awful kids, but if its all they can afford

“"Food n Footy"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Was on business and was staying at an ajacent hotel, popped in initially for quick drink after a long day but ended up staying several hours. Great atmosphere and really really good food. Was able to eat in comfort and then stoll into the bar and watch the football! Staff were really attentive and friendly. Its well worth a visit.

“Not the best Christmas ...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We decided this year not to have Christmas lunch at home but to go out and after looking at various menus we decided the hungry horse was excellent value for money. We have also eaten there several times before and found it to offer simple food well cooked and very generous portions. On the day however there were numerous problems. The drinks for the designated driver were refused, half the main course advertised never appeared, the cheese and mince pies never appeared, and neither did the coffee but we eventually went and fetched it. The food that did arrive was very nice but it was only a fraction of what we paid for. To top it off halfway through the meal there was an announcement to the effect they were closing shortly. Next year we will go elsewhere.
