Unfortunately we missed an e-mail from Sandie, the owner, giving us very good directions, so we had a little difficulty finding the farm, but it was worth it. We felt very welcome and were happy with our room. The location is lovely - so peaceful and wonderful views. We were provided with a list of breakfast possibilities to choose from the night before, so in the morning we had a superb, beautifully cooked breakfast (I think the best I've ever had!). My husband had an interesting chat with Sandie's husband about the farm. All in all, it was a really pleasant stay, and we would stay there again when we're in the area. The farm is very convenient for Hadrian's Wall. I liked it because it was more private thsan a B&B and more personal than a hotel.

We stayed for a night at Carr Edge Farm and found it extremely comfortable and located in lovely isolated countryside.

The farm was easy to find and just as other reviewers have said the welcome was very friendly. Mrs Gibson, with incredible generosity, agreed to cook an early breakfast for us as we had to leave first thing in the morning and I can confirm that it was just as good as the reputation that preceded it!

The living room was very comfortable so next time we will travel with a nice bottle of wine to make the most of an evening here. Definitely somewhere we will visit again

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Sandie and we felt so welcome from start to finish. Carr Edge is a great place to stay and unwind. The accommodation is wonderful. We stayed in the family room and it was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Views were beautiful to wake up to and the amenities delightful. It was clear that thought had gone in to making any stay there as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was gorgeous. There is so much choice and we liked the way you pre-order your choices the night before. Perfectly cooked, ready and delicious. Sets you up for the day! Great place to stay and a real gem to come back to after a busy day exploring.
Sandie was great, very accommodating, warm and friendly. Always happy to help and meet our needs. We would definitely recommend to anybody and if traveling that way in future, we would book Carr Edge again. Thanks Sandie, you're a star

We were desperate for somewhere to stay and had not booked in advance so popped into the Tourist Office in Hexham. The very friendly staff found us this wonderful 5* farmhouse B&B run by Sandie and Michael, who were wonderful, welcoming, informative hosts. Our room had everything you could want including wide open views across several hilltops. The facilities were fab, breakfast was cooked to our own specific request and nothing was too much trouble. Very close to Hadrian's Wall - Housesteads - which is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: We had the double room - 'Elm'- on the first floor. Any of the rooms would be lovely to st...

If you are looking for a peaceful B&B with a warm welcome, great views and breakfast book in here. We had a large room which was children friendly. Sandie was a great host and there was lots to choose from for breakfast. This B&B was much more expensive than others we have stayed in of the same standard or higher standard hence why I've slightly marked down value, but don't let this put you off. It's a great B&B

We stayed for three nights, and we were really happy with our choice. The farm is out of the way, and very quiet. But you can drive two minutes to the pub. Breakfast is very nice, and there's tea and coffee to enjoy in the room.
We booked the ground floor room, and it is great. There's a large bathroom, a comfortable bed, and best of all, you have your own access door to the garden, so you can sit and enjoy the view.
Sandie gave great advice for visiting 'the wall', and we really enjoyed our days there. There is a washing machine that we used to refresh our wardrobe on our trip. And there's a drying room if you get really wet while out walking. We ate two nights in Corbridge, which is only about fifteen minutes drive.
