“Very good food, some different things on the menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

We stopped off while travelling south, and where very glad we did. The service was good and the food was excellent. We had an aubergine starter we have never seen on a menu before, it was great. the service was cheerful, efficient and the food was prepared quickly which is just what we wanted.

“The smell will bring you in and you won't be disappointed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

We chose to eat here on after having excellent food at The Valley Corbridge.
Hexham fireworks display was a very busy night but we couldn't have been happier with the service and food.
Waiters were extremely attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. We opted for the chicken shaslic, which came on a sizzling dish, and two of the chef's specials. The portions were large; great value for money!
The only suggestion we would give is to include lime pickle on the pickle tray! ....picky I know!

“Wish I lived closer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

We hadn't visited this restaurant for a couple of years having moved away from Hexham but on our return the maitre d greeted us like we'd been in last week! Have been back twice since and everytime the food is consistantly fantastic. Sizzling starters for 2 leave your mouth tingling and the mains are to die for. Very relaxing atmosphere in plush surrounding too. Have to disagree with "brownale" - we think Hexham Valley is best Indian in North East - with Corbridge Valley second!

“Yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Visited in August with a friend and had a really good experience. The staff who welcomed us were lovely and very attentive; showed us to our seats, brought us menus and drinks almost immediately.

For starter, we shared papadums which came with four lovely dips. The darker dip is gorgeous, as is the chutney! I wish we'd ordered more of the papadums as they were fantastic. As soon as finished our plates were cleared away and the mains came not long after.

I went for a medium-hot vegetable curry which I think was called a Karahi. We shared a Peshwari naan which was absolutely beautiful - I know it's just a naan bread, but I have NEVER had one so good. Very sweet but just lovely! We also had some mushroom pilau rice which was also great.

Throughout the meal, staff checked on us to make sure that we were enjoying our meal and to see if we fancied any drinks, or the desserts menu. In the end, regardless of how tempted we were to try the puddings (orange sorbet sounded lush!) we had to skip as we were so full.

Wonderful experience overall, only fault is that - as a student - prices are a bit steep, but the food is of such good quality that you'd expect it. Fantastic restaurant, I will most definitely be back!

“2nd best Indian in the Tyne valley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012 via mobile

The valley corbridge is slightly better in my opinion, because of the curry train from Newcastle. But the valley connection is still very good. Lovley building, with always excellent food, would recommend ! . Yes its not cheap, but you pay for what you get. Worth a visit.
